Team Sweden arrived at Call of Duty XP draped in their national flag—the show of patriotism paid off as the squad eliminated rivals Benelux in three straight maps. Also out in three was the strong Australian team Archaic, who were bested by team Optic, making up for their compatriots Quantic's loss earlier in the day.

Onsite Call of Duty XP qualifier team MoB proved too strong for first-timers Skilled in Kombat, knocking them off the tournament stage in yet another fast and furious 3-0 match. Attendees were treated to a thrilling showdown between the final two onsite qualifiers Twisted Method and UN, who battled across all five maps. Twisted Method's method—a little trash talk and tactics they refused to disclose to the shoutcasters onsite—proved superior. They bested UN 4-1 in Search and Destroy, securing a trip to the second round.
