Joined up on the forum just to post in this thread. Such a backwards method of handling lag-related gameplay issues is laughable. In all fairness, the game should not, in any way, suppliment any connectivity issues in order to try and balance the game. This is the wrong way to go about solving the issue.
In my honest opinion, it would seem that ideally, the game should actively prevent players with poor connections to the host from connecting in the first place, even if that means reworking the whole lobby system somewhat, or altering the way that game handles matchmaking altogether; If it results in improved playablity for the COD community then I'm all for it.
No to lag compensation, yes to lag prevention.
