GM: Screw Welfare Package

We need a gamemode to make it so Support can not be used.

It works like this:

All support packages auto go to UAV-Care Package-Predator Missle during gameplay.

8-12 players

Random gamemodes of below:

TDM

KC

DOM

HQP

CTF

S&D

DEM

SAB

Support Numbers: (Tallys)(5 in center means five)

Dude, why do you hate on Support? It prevents camping! If you don't like pointstreaks go play Barebones!

I think we need a gamemode where Assault can't be used and everyone must use either Support or Specialists.  There will also be deathstreaks.  I would name this "Anti-Camper Barebones".

    • Re: GM: Screw Welfare Package

support makes it so people can play with no skill and get to much exp. Deathstreaks im fine with, assault takes more skill then support. I want you to try to get a osprey gunner faster easier then you can get a gay ass Escort Airdrop. I have used support before, but when i took assault i loved it. I try to get M.O.A.B's in domination and when im on a high pointstreak i get tagged! I do not camp it isn't anti-camping.

Its like saying all people that use assassin camp, i use Blind Eye, and Assassin and i run around and kick ass, i use specailist and assault but never support. Support is welfare.

Without the Support strike package, MOABs would be far far far to easy!  Support is what balances everything out.  What are you talking about, "support makes it so people can play with no skill and get to much exp. "  Support streaks have to be earned just like Assault streaks...by shooting down air support, capping bases, destroying equipment, planting the bomb, etc.  You just want to be able to kill whore.   Suppor does exactly what it's designed to do.  It rewards those who actually focus on the objective and support their team.  People who are focused on the objective, not killing, are going to obviously be more succeptable to deaths.  They shouldn't be rewarded at all?  Those who only focus on killing and not the objective should be the only ones rewarded?  HAHAHAHAHAHA

I use assault about 75% of the time and I completely agree.

          i agree with you 100%

Lol you are flaming people who use support because it takes no skill? Yet you run around with assassin and blind eye. Good one.

You use carepackage too, lol okay.

Either way any one can do well in MW3 it was made that way. Believe it or not the most people i see using support are good players.

I used support packages for my first 6 prestiges as an objective player these make sense as over half the time I'm the only one capping objective.

sounds like a great idea to me!........................

wait no it sounds ******* retarded

  • Re: GM: Screw Welfare Package

Support i don't hate but we need something to remove it and play it like a real cod game should be played! Most people use support. I want all of you to try to get a osprey and tell me its overpowered it is a challange! Support also doesn't make M.O.A.B's a challange and make it so they are harder, it ***** them over. I am glad IW made support but they need a game mode without it. Support helps the players that are not as good as others, they help people get titles and emblems but then they overuse it and **** the game up.

  • Re: GM: Screw Welfare Package

What I'm getting from this thread:

"Waaaah!!!  A no skillz Support user tagged me with a Recon Drone and prevented me from getting a MOAB!  BAN THE SUPPORT CLASS!"

You keep talking about getting a M.O.A.B. and that the support package keeps you from doing that, well...I don't know what to tell you. There are only four lethal streaks in support and they are all totally avoidable.

Airdrop Trap...Simple, don't take anyones care package

Remote Turret...I personally never see these used

Stealth Bomber...You can hear it coming from miles away and there is plenty of time to get to cover

Escort Airdrop...Don't go near where they are dropping the care packages and it won't shoot you.

Appears to me you are just irritated because someone killed you.

I just had to laugh when I read this. I took this quote from another thread. You should learn to take your own advice OP. I liked the last line inparticularly.

You have a point. This is the BEST CALL OF DUTY EVER though. Stop complaining and start understanding the fact all games have flaws and when those are fixed the game is near perfection. This game is easy to kill because you never mastered it. How do people get M.O.A.B's huh? By not dieing! Learn to play and stop complaining.

    ShmanKs

they award people for being bad at the game....i love getting my pavelow destroyed by someone who is 18-32 and detonated an emp, but there is no point in getting to mad over it, it happens all the time. They just wanted to make the game noob friendly

  • Re: GM: Screw Welfare Package

Agreed it would make MOABs a little too easy if it were not included.

First thing is, where would the support killstreaks go? Especially the likes of EMP and EA? Merging them with assault wouldn't really work imo.

Secondly, it would really encourage camping. New players who don't get many killstreaks would be frustrated with not getting them, and would be driven to sit somewhere they could guard the only way through.

I realise these wouldn't be problems in a game mode, but I think making a game mode for everything people don't like is a terrible path for this game to take. Soon you'd have people calling for anti-camping lobbies, lobbies with certain weapons banned, deathstreaks disabled, etc.

think he comes back after that callout? LoL

support is fine. assault encourages camping, which is a MUCH bigger problem than giving people with slower reflexes and less COD/FPS experience a chance to contribute to their team.

if you want to play ultra competitive you can always go to the organized leagues where they remove a lot of the fluff. but then you won't have all the pub scrubs to shoot for your MOABs

    scolia5044

Well i guess i treat my support package like its an assult because i seem too never go negative and yet im earning my stealth bomber and then Emp im atleast getting two of each a game back in mw2 i ran with the stealth bomber i beileve it took 8-9 kills too get

    Tomnician

"Why can't I be even more of a kill whore!?" Seems like every other post is about some half-great twerp wanting to make it so that he doesn't die ever. With recommending how the game should make it so whatever does kill him is removed.

    I don't run support package.

Alot of people want to play COD but quit cause of us, and how it's no fun to get washed out every time they try to play. Support has really giving them a chance to TRY and have fun. They still go negative and I still go positive why so many people complain?

    Moon Head 92

I use Assault and Specialist when i play TDM, then i have two classes totally focused on the objective, seriously people the only thing i disagree about the support is the stealth bomber, then again i use the stealth to help defend them flags if i can't get to them in time.

  • Re: GM: Screw Welfare Package

I don't agree, but I do agree than EMP needs to be 20 kills or higher, EMP is a game changing support streak. it is WAY to ******* powerful to be only at 18 kills and the ability to die 100 times inbetween those 18 kills. I think it should either be moved to assult, or make it require 20+ kills

    • Re: GM: Screw Welfare Package
      Moon Head 92

18 for it is fine imho, just needs the time toned down, 60 seconds is too long.

    • Re: GM: Screw Welfare Package
      trialstardragon

You forget its not kills in support its points and those can be gained by kills or other things. So even moving it to 20 or even 25  would still make it very easy to get for most players.

If I play kc or dom I can get a emp almost every game when I want to. Because instead of trying to whore kills, I kill anything, including equipment, and uavs and helis which earn points towards my emp, and so does caps, defends.

  • Re: GM: Screw Welfare Package

Almost never use support, only classes on my profile that has support are classes that my girlfriend plays (basically a strike package for sissies), though escort airdrop and stealth bomber might be a good idea to remove, at least put the stealth bomber in assault... Everything else there is just helping your team and is good for people that don't do that well..

  • Re: GM: Screw Welfare Package

Support is a great addition to those that are not as skilled as many people are. The issue we run into are the people that are skilled are using this to their advantage by doing remote/bomber/emp. They then go and defend themselves by saying they are helping the team....which yes is true, but you know that it isn't the real case.

My suggestion is simple, make it so the Support Package is only allowed from levels 1-50 on each Prestige. Once you get to level 50(ACR unlock) the person should be more comfortable using Assault or Specialist. They setup Specialist so we cannot use it till level 20....so why not when you hit level 50 that you lose the ability to run Support.

    • Re: GM: Screw Welfare Package
      Moon Head 92

No they shouldn't do that for the simple reason, why shouldn't i just be as awarded for going for the objective, that means there is a probability i will die, but i'm being a team player, as the same person who can sit in a corner and rack up kills?

The only thing i can think of to balance support, is remove stealth bomber, and ban it from TDM and Free 4 all, wouldn't you agree that's more fair?

  • Re: GM: Screw Welfare Package
    SalemInChains

I think camping for MOABs in objective games is more of a problem than some1 who plays the game correctly and is rewarded for it.

  • Re: GM: Screw Welfare Package

Screw support and assault , hardline + specialist = **** ton of points

  • Re: GM: Screw Welfare Package

So basicaly you want someone on your team on dom. kill whoring not capping more then 1 flag then someone that could care less and always pushes the objective..

    Your one great COD player

Not ever going to happen just so you can kill whore and feel special about doing so. You are not special you do not need or deserve a specal game mode just to make you happy. So either get over it or play barebones or quit playing the game.

support and specialist makes it so u corner humpin object campers cannot just sit there all game...if u dont like it do as the others have told u and go play bare bones, or go cry...your choice
