the rage quitting was in refference to the death streak aid to those who do use it...read again...Rather than have them quit in a fit, and possible never play again, they were given minor aid, thats all... And its certainly not worth all this fussing...

Personally I don't mind deathstreaks in game. Don't really have a problem with it.  Just confused about some of em.

    1. last stand: not my favorite you're supposed to be in last stand bleeding out and crippled why does it take another 3 shots to kill. it's like killing em twice. Ability to move as quickly as an uninjured player proned doesn't make sense. Last the accuracy of your weapon and how quickly you can raise your gun to sights and aim in this position. It basically only hinders you from running and you're stuck proned but can still move.

    2. Revenge: Most lobbies play with killcams. You already know the general spot they are. Do you really need to know exactly where they are. If they are camping, you pretty much already know. More often than not the person using it will get killed on there way to that guy.

3: deadman's hand: Wouldn't have a problem with it, if the blast radius wasn't ridiculous. It seems to me, it has the blast radius of a predator missile, if not larger. With damage being at max for the full radius. It's either you get hit and die or you are far enough away it doesn't hit you at all. doesn't seem to be an inbetween.

I can also see the side of taking deathstreaks out, though. Since support package offers options for getting kills: like airdrop trap, mini turret, stealth bomber, escort airdrop.

I know some players have a hard time getting any kills so I don't mind letting them be helped out. Sometimes just getting that 1 kill gives confidence and helps them get back into the game.

Personally I like killstreak rewards, though I don't think they should be able to chain to another reward.

  • 46. Re: Kill the deathstreaks for future call of duty's

I have the feeling people write these threads after losing out on their AC 130, Juggernaut, etc. from someone using a deathstreak.

Deathstreaks really aren't overpowered at all. Final stand is a joke, there's a delay on when the final stander can aim and the timing of the +50 or +100 should always tell you when they've actually died, and you should easily be able to move your sights down.

Martyrdom is a joke, if you die from it you're not paying attention, DMH is a little better but as I've said a 6 deathstreak is ridiculous, hardly anyone ever hits them, hardly anyone uses it.

I would be open to balancing them, like perhaps having pump and lever shotties or perhaps snipers not put people into final stand, but I don't think it's a bad concept.

Personally, I have hollow points set for my deathstreak as I think it's the least BS of them all. However I agree completely. You shouldn't be rewarded for playing bad ESPECIALLY when there are support streaks that will reward you for capping and such even if you die. I've said before I would much prefer a system of escalating verbal abuse we'll call "motivation streaks" instead. The motivation would simply roll accross your screen in plain text. Starting at:

3 deaths It could say -  Come on get a kill

4 - you die too much

    5 - nooooob

    6 - You are terrible

Etc escalating in verbage thae bigger the death streak untill finally and I just thought of this, you get auto kicked at 25 straight deaths. It's the reverse nuke. I think everyone can agree that you're not helping your team at 25 straight deaths.

    That5What5Up

Very interesting.  I shall provide further details.

    1 - Nothing

    2 - Nothing

    3 - Come on get a kill

4 - You die too much

    5 - Nooooob

    6 - You are terrible

    7 - Really?

8 - Perhaps change class or something?

9 - Quitting is a good idea now

10 - You gave them that streak, you know

11 - Just give this disc to someone that deserves it

12 - Bet you wish you had DMH dont you?

13 - You need to adapt like trialstar did

14 - Wiggy thinks you need to educate youself on mw3

15 - Maccabi confirms your connection is fine, you just suck

16 - Maybe just go play halo?

17 - Vahn has banned your gamertag from Blops 2

18 - Listen, FPSes arent your thing

19 - Your teammates would TK you if they could

20 - How has the other team not won yet?

21 - That beeping is the sound of a MOAB timer, idiot

22 - Bet you REALLY wish you had DMH dont you?

23 - Cant blame you this time.  Bad spawn

    24 - Please.  Please just...go away.

25 - You know what? **** you  (kicked)

  • 49. Re: Kill the deathstreaks for future call of duty's

I 100% agree with you. There should NOT be any kind of reward given to players who cannot play gets kills without having to pull out a c4 that kills everything in a 15 foot blast radius. Deathstreaks in no way help anyone on the game. They do not make a player better. They do not decide the outcome of matchs. The only thing deathsteaks are in the game for is to punish strong players and reward players who are terrible. We all know Robert Bolling and th rest of the gang at IW/SH have not listened to the community and could really careless about the cod community. On the other hand we have David Vondhaar asking/chatting the CoD community via twitter about how he can make the next CoD the best one yet. I sure hope 3arc puts IW where they belong.... out of business.
