I guess I fit the bill AS YOU define it.
On Village I patrol the center bridge the whole game. Not more than 5-10 feet from the bridge the whole time. I go 28-5
There are six access points (3 on each side) so I do feel that my opponents have a disadvantage against me. But as a camper that's what I expect, right?
Give me a break...
- If I choose to go to the middle of the map where the traffic is usually the heaviest...
- That location which has multiple vantage points.....
- I hold off attack after attack....
- The opposing team can't displace me...
- I will be called a camper....
I wear that badge with pride my friend because you are a no skill wanker.............
Why should I move when I get kills so readily? If I didn't get the kills I would move on...
Holding the high ground or any position to put your opponents where you have an advantage is called skill. But you will have to communicate well with others first and not be the guy that states at the end of the match...
"My team sucks, I'm on top of the leader board and we lost!"
The majority of multiplayer is designed for team play but there will be those that want to force it to conform how they play individually.
I can't wait till BO2 comes out with the new escort game mode. I can hear it now..."Damn campers are guarding the target again!"
I agree with you sometimes spawn trapping get boring but sometimes i would rather get the win and go negative because i like to win, K/D doesnt matter not to me anyway i do everything i can to win and spawn trapping works best when that one random guy decides that he is going stay there at that base flag and not help his team get the other two flags that need to be capped.
Note there is a counter for everything in this game just be smart and analyze it.
Camping is fun sometimes.
1) You get to hear them rage!
2) They usually come back the same way and rage even harder!
3) You get fan mail!
Seriously though, there is a time and place for camping. If you're camping in a losing game, you're a vagina. If you're camping at a choke point in SnD or Demo on Defense, you're playing smart.
BTW, I predominantly play SnD Knife Only, so I kinda HAVE to camp sometimes.
Every single person is guilty of camping, think about it. Defending an objective is camping, lying down ADS is camping, using a sniper (properly) is technically camping.
Rushers who stop to reload,or hide inside from an attack helicopter are camping. A rusher using a predator is momentarily camping. A rusher securing an objective in Domination is lying down to capture a flag not moving whilst ADS for an enemy coming is camping.
We ALL camp only we don't realise it, so stop whining folks. In COD4,MW2 and Bops, there wasn't nearly as much moaning about camping.
MW3 If you are killed by a better player it equals camping according to some.
Its an adult game so act like adults instead of moaning about campers.
U can use any strategy in cod that u want inculding camping because in cod EVERY THING has a way to be counter acted including M.O.A.Bs if u see a camper in a corner throw a c4 on him if the camper gets a high killstreak shoot it down or use a emp the only reason why campers can do good is because most people are to retarded to relise there are ways to kill them in fact camping is required sometimes to deal with other playstyles that are good against u for example a guy runs around with akimbo fmgs or any smg it isnt smart to go head on against him the weakness of running around is usually traps or camping and just cause u use support and help ur team dosent mean that ur the best its always best to have a mix of people using specialist support or assault because each has it strong points also u think camping is unfair or stupid but others may think support is also stupid in this way as getting tagged by recon drones and instantly loses killstreaks is extremly gay as well to other people so dont complain that camping or anything else like is unfair cause there are ways to stop people from doing it u just gotta find out how
