Leadership can mean different things to different people and in different scenario's. Business leadership can be different to military leadership. If you Google miltary leadership quotes, you get some good food for thought on how some of the ideas can help your CoD gaming.

A couple that I personally like...

Do what is right, not what you think the high headquarters wants or what you think will make you look good.

    Norman Schwarzkopf

I am more afraid of an army of 100 sheep led by a lion than an army of 100 lions led by a sheep.

    Talleyrand

    and a real personal favourite...

Great leaders inspire. They maintain a hopeful attitude, even in the face of discouraging setbacks, constant criticism and abundant opposition. People don’t follow discouraged leaders. They follow those who persist with hope.

    RICK WARREN

I've been in matches where that last quote has been lived out. where a player takes the lead, never gives up hope of a win and leads the team to victory.

    For Me It's

1 - Understand : what class works with a mode / what your type of weapon player you are

2 - Map Layout : learning the "lines" / tracking the spawns within your proximity

3 - Kill Streak Rewards : support , assault ,specialist / all play a major part during the game whether it be solo/party/clan

I use these basic concepts in every CoD ,and I usually experiment with only my 1st an 2nd prestige with my class set-up , the other 2 only comes with experience in game time

Class setup is critical nothing worse than someone playing who has no idea what the class can do for them. I mentioned to PHXS something that I use to do in BO2: Remove everything from your player, go into a match with only a knife. There you will test how well you are.

    For me i would say.

Constancy, meaning someone who dose well in all situations and comes out on top most games.

Thinking on the fly, meaning can change up when the time calls for it, camp, rush, defend when the time calls for it.

Remembers its a game, meaning when you try to hard you end up doing worse as apposed to playing smart but still having a good time with the people they play with. Able to admit when he gets outplayed and not blame it on lag.

And oh yea what you guys said. I suck at the game but mostly have fun.

do you mean consistency? If so I agree with that 100% someone who is consistently good is someone great to party with.

And your final one is very important, this game is just that a game.

3-Adapting your playstlye to suit the game type, your team, the other team and match circumstances in general.

Good ones. Its important to know what your good at and what your not good at to have fun and do well.

I can't rely on cat light reflexes to play this game, but fortunately, you don't need those in this game to have fun.

    1.  Accuracy.  Totally agree.  First one to land bullets wins.

    2.  Patience.  This one is huge.  A lot of times I know a guy is close to me, but instead of waiting for him to make a move, I'll get tired of waiting and go out after him.

    3.  Perception.  This could wrap up your points 2 and 3, with a few others.  Knowing where the enemy is when you can't see them, either by sounds, where your team is or just general map knowledge is pretty handy.

I love Call of Duty, it gives me satisfaction because it provides me with hours of entertainment filled with fun, rage, and an escape from everyday bullshit, that's it.

Though this was not a thread on how we feel about the game, thanks for sharing something positive.

    1. Knowledge and Wisdom

-Map knowledge, spawn points, map reading, game smarts, and prediction of enemy locations is very crucial in this game.

-Using the layout of the map and your immediate surroundings to your advantage.

-Knowing when to camp, when to hide, when to run away, and when to RNG.

    2. Speed

-Reaction time, quick thinking, and hand and eye coordination.

    3. Might

-Projecting your might in a game and making your enemies feel what you're capable of. This part is more of a psychological warfare. If you can make your enemies believe that they stand little chance against you or they are lesser skilled, chances are, you are dictating the tempo of the game. They are reacting to how you play the game. This is where you project your dominance over your opponents.

Note: All of these are good to have as a solo player but it doesn't mean much if you are playing against a well organized team.

To me, its whoever can get the job done, while keeping casualties to a minimum.

    • Common Sense
    • Map Knowledge
    • Ability to Immerse oneself (Big Factor, most pub teammates are too bored when we play, rush out and die; While its heart-pounding second by second action for my team.)
    • Teamwork

Then again, im a mostly search player, but its more fun when johnny resurrection doesnt learn from his mistake of rushing me time and time again...

But, to be good at Ghosts for myself?

Be a Ghost, plain and simple. Im the kinda guy who will guard the B bomb in ANY spot that will hide me, provided the other area is secure. If you die by my gun, or blade, then its due to your inability to check your surroundings, or as the SAS put it "Check Those Corners!"

Being mindless is running around expecting enemies to always be in a certain spot, not being wary of their playstyles or anything. Thats why most people die to C4/shield. Theyve seen it so much, yet they can NEVER build a class to counter it. (You gotta have all 6-10 classes be a sniper rifle)

All good points but I particularly like your 3rd one.  When you can impose your will on the enemy team to the point that they lose sight of the objective, winning becomes a lot easier.  Last night while playing with one of my clan mates in DOM we did just that.  He kept throwing Smoke on the B flag and while some of the enemy team were using thermals, those guys weren't going after the flag.  We flanked the crap out of them and kept them guessing.  They became unsure of themselves and their hesitation allowed us to push forward a bit and basically start playing TDM.  We put such a stranglehold on their spawn that they had no choice but to go for kills rather than flags and we won that match with no issues whatsoever.
