How to report Hackers/Modders on Consoles for MW2

CODfanboy2k9
Hello,

Firstly, I would like to draw people's attention to the PS3 sub-forum for an statement fron 402 with regards to the hacking issues on the Playstation 3 version of Modern Warfare 2.

In which 402 has said that both IW and Sony are working on the issue, if your a PS3 user, please read that thread.

With regards to the 360 hacking, I am sure the same is going ahead between Microsoft and IW.

Now, the purpose of this thread to demonstrate that while Modern Warfare 2 doesn't have the "Report User" feature Black Ops has, both Sony and Microsoft have system's in place to report hackers, as it is a violation of both Playstation Network and Xbox Live Gold's terms of service.

Both of which every user agreed to when they signed up to their respective consoles online service.

Reporting a user on the Microsoft 360 Entertainment System

Xbox Live has a system in place where you can report users via their accounts, if you find a user is cheating be it hacking or modding. You can simply go through the "File Complaint" system built into the XBL system.

You will be directed to fill out a report and then it will be submitted to an XBL Moderator who will review the case. Please do not abuse the system because it may result in a ban for yourself for abuse of the XBL Terms of Service.

Reporting a user on the Sony Playstation 3 Entertainment System

Sony's system is different to the Microsoft system, as its not built in, there is one however. The system is region specific, so please click on the correct region your PSN is located it. Reporting a user on the SCEA website from Europe will not accepted, you must go via SCEE.

For the America's

Sony Computer Entertainment America Complaint Form - http://np.us.playstation.com/complaint/ ... tForm.aspx

The system is similar to the xbl report and again a false report will result in you being banned, so please do not abuse it

For the rest of the world

Sony Compute Entertainment Europe (covers Australia and New Zealand) - https://secure.eu.playstation.com/psn/s ... reporting/

Again simply follow on the on screen instructions.

For more details about reporting a user or if you are having issues with the system's, please contact Sony or Microsoft Support

Microsoft Xbox Support - http://support.xbox.com /en-gb/Pages/default.aspx

Sony Computer Entertainment America Support - http://us.playstation.com/support/

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Support - http://uk.playstation.com/support/

For telephone numbers for support please refer to your console's manual.

I hope this guide is of some use to everyone, for PC users, Stream operate the report feature for Modern Warfare 2 as you are well aware. I am sorry I don't have an contact deatails for them, you might have to refer to Activision Technical Support for more information.
