Who are we? Anonymity is overrated...

Sorry Off Topic Forum... I don't care to know the Xbox gamers on here.

I'm just curious of everyone elses age/gender and whatnot. Being on an anonymous forum is cool an' all, but sometimes when certain people have the most terrible grammatical/spelling errors (u r wut im talk about unedumacated peoplez[.]) It's also funny to see those who cry about this game the most, when stalked upon Elite, are just known terrible gamers. These people have K/D;W/L's of less than even, hundreds of hours into MW3, and think that it is the games fault. I understand, man... Activision loves money, and IW can make an addiction, if entirely unplayable (most of the time) game.

On the other hand, some of these guys on here I would like to play with. I mainly play S&D, but am pretty good at any game mode, and usually result in a win regardless of my party helping or not. Unless, that is, I'm playing in TDM or a related game mode... I can't help that I enter a game that is half over, and most of my team is 2-15.

Lulz

MR_OnyYX_ is one of my other accounts, not my main. I play it mainly for TDM in parties to destroy people. Haven't for a while, though, because the K/D dropped from 7:1 to right under 3:1, so being only a few hours in, I made a different one. My main account K/D is 1.63 (I'd say good enough for S&D nearly 100% of the time) with a W/L of 3.6 (and rising...) It is also 10th prestige, but I use MR_OnyYX_ as an alias for this, so I don't get losers stalking my stats like I do on here

I'm 21, Male, reside in Kansas, US. I'm married with a 3 year old daughter. I am currently enlisted active duty in the US Army, but have a pretty boring job, even though that means I get quite a bit of time for family and video games I enjoy living under my rock in life, and rarely go out for anything other than parties in houses of friends, or to the occasional family outing. I read almost nothing but Stephen King, and jam out to death core (Job for a Cowboy), Techno (Wolfgang Gartner), and Dubstep (It all sounds the same... lol) and similar sounding genres.

I suppose I could just put up a summary of this information, along with my Facebook account and Elite information, but this is easier to make conversation about. It is a forum afterall, no? If you would be interested in playing this game with me, just leave a reply. I'm not looking for a clan, as I have one of my own, and we pretty much dominate. If you're interested in a clan that does primarily S&D, I won't mind playing with you to join, though, or just to play. It is a game, you know.

Will be 37 in a couple weeks. Male. Married, 3 kids, ages 14, 11, and 9. I run CNC machinery for a living and live in Utah.  Yes I am mormon but do not pratice it, I am what you would call a "Jack Mormon" Lol...OH...and I only have 1 wife. Lol. I noticed you said you were in the Army...I too was once in the service. I am a former Marine. Thank you for your service.

    • Re: Who are we? Anonymity is overrated...

And thank you for your service and reply Definitely laughed at the 1 wife part. I went to basic with a Mormon... Dude ran his 2 mile in 12 1/2 minutes or so, and he was in his early 30's, but he was tall with the longest legs in the world. lol   I work at the USDB (United States Disciplinary Barracks) in Ft. Leavenworth. Pickin' up my E-4 (finally) soon, and work with every branch here... As inmates. Haha!

      • Re: Who are we? Anonymity is overrated...

I went to the School Of Infantry (training after boot camp for all grunts) with the guy who set the 3 mile record in boot camp. Think it was 14 or 15 minutes. Did an ironman competition where he wound up winning due to running so fast. I got him on the sit-ups and pull-ups and wound up with my best 3 miles EVER at a 19:50. (I was 18 at the time) To be young again. Lol. Made it all the way to E-5 before calling it quits, shot 81mm mortars. I noticed after I posted that you put you don't care to know the XBOX gamers, I think all service members are basically brothers/sisters in one way or another, that is why I am replying. (im on XBOX)

        • Re: Who are we? Anonymity is overrated...

Oh wow, that's intense. Different branch, different Console. Haha. But to that, I agree. I hope I'm not making the wrong decision or anything, but I'm probably gonna opt out and ETS in a year, unless I can't find a job. Can't be too hard to at least find some sort of Civilian Corrections spot out there after working here. Oh, and I envy your job you had. The only live fire action I got was in Basic, 2 years ago lol

Guess I'll have to wait until they integrate servers between PS3 and Xbox so we can play together. I've found a bunch of Veterans, and even a clan (MIL1 was the clan tag) of nothing but currently enlisted and prior service memebers, which I thought was pretty sweet.

          • Re: Who are we? Anonymity is overrated...
            jwaller123

Don't envy my job to much now. Lol. I had to carry those things on my back for MILES, and they are not very light. Lol. Other than that they were a blast. My decision to get out was an easy one because that's all Marines want...is to get out...but I often regret that choice and miss it more and more each day. I could be retiring in the next year or two if I had stayed in. The friendships you build with your fellow Soldiers/Marines can never be replaced. The brotherhood is what I miss the most I think. Think hard before you decide to get out or stay in. Make the right choice that is good for you AND your family. With all that said, I hope to see you online one day so we can trade virtual bullets.

35 in April.  Born and raised in the SE USA.  Married for 4 years in March but been with my wife for 13 years I think.  We have 1 little boy who will be 3 in May.

IDK why it the forum used BLLDWG23 as my screen name.  It is my secondary account and I rarely if ever play on it.  Usually use it to try out new setups or to let other folks play. IDK maybe I f'd up when I was joining the forum way back when.  Also my post count got reset when I changed my email address on here which sucks cause I have been posting on the forums since BLOPS.

Anyway RODEO23 is the PSN I use.

This username is different from my PSN because IW cannot marry accounts...and they are developers!

My PSN is first name SHANE, my soccer number (sweeper for old school people who knows what that number is) and baseball number 23.

Divorced, two kids and am a Director of IT.

I'm 21 years old. Originally from Connecticut, but live in Massachusetts now. I'm graduating college in May. W@W was the first title I bought on release day, but I bought CoD4 in February of whatever year it came out. Black Ops was my first title on the PS3, and was the first time I joined the forums.

My username is fairly obvious. D as in my first name Drew, and then my last name. 28 is my number for baseball, so thats where that comes from.

  • Re: Who are we? Anonymity is overrated...

16 years old, 17 on the 27th ( Finally "old enough to play")

    Not married. ( Obviously)

Live in the Canada, Ontario near Ottawa.  Rural so the internet is tripe.

Go to  summer house in the south of France every summer.

Go to Carribean for 2 weeks every winter.

    Like coding.

Like driving my dad's awesome car.

Getting into photography. (Got a canon 600d for birthday this year).

First COD was WAW, but my first MP cod was mw2 in march because that was when my internet go changed from satellite to fixed point wireless.

Use both PC and Mac computers.

    Ps3 only.

  • Re: Who are we? Anonymity is overrated...

Great birthdate Nick (same as mine).   My youngest of 3 kids is 5 1/2 yrs older than you.

I'm an oldie who's always liked "shoot em up" type games but have to be honest and say that I am not very good with them.  I did a little "live action" on MW2 and I've been adding to everyone's killstreaks since the NFL season was over on MW3.  I have managed to reach to the 1st prestige but have opted to check out all the weapons before deciding to go through it all again.  A goal has been to get a "gold" gun in each of the primary classes and I just got the PKP in the lmg class yesterday.  I only play FFA,  so that was a beast to get it to that level.

I also am a Vet.  I did 4 yrs in the Seabees back in the 70's (yikes!).  We weren't really a combat outfit (most Marines can attest to that) but the few times we did get to the range I did very well with my M-16.  I certainly don't do well with it on MW3.  It was the first AR I started working with and pretty much stay away from it since unlocking all the other weapons.  I occassionaly will retry it but it just does not compete with the other choices.

JT - I live just outside of Boston so my feelings on the Canucks run similar to yours,  no offense ribi ; )

    I'm a construction inspector.

My gamer name comes form one of the best horror movies ever made.

Im 32 been married for 5 years now. I have two daughters 5 and 4. I have been playing MP since black hawk down on ps2. I in a clan for guys that are over the age of 30. We just play to have fun. Most of the members are ex-miitary.

  • Re: Who are we? Anonymity is overrated...

I'm 33 and have been married for 10 years. I have 3 kids and I work as a software engineer.

I have been playing video games for as long as I can remember. I had the original Sega Master system and the NES. My first shooter was the original 8-bit Wolfenstein for PC. Black Ops was the first shooter I've played without a keyboard and mouse, and I'm still not quite used to the control sticks on the PS3 controller.

  • Re: Who are we? Anonymity is overrated...

I am 29 years old from Boston, Ma. I am pretty much a degenerate everything. Love to do lots of stupid things and vid games is my only activity that keeps me out of trouble. I am a poker dealer by trade but went to school for network admin. I am waiting  for the legal casino's to open so I can have a legitimate job. Married, nope. Cant deal with woman for to long. I like to party and havent found a girl with my balance of it yet. Its either they dont condone the things I do or they do it more than I would like to. Generally date the "good girls" that think they are gonna change me. GOOD LUCK. Love hangin with friends on the weekend, having some drinks or whatever and playing cards. I am a gamer. I mean anything were there is competition. Sports, cards, vid games, whatever.

    RAMBONER

I am 32, married with two little ones (4 and 2).  I live in Colorado and grew up on a 1500 acr ranch with 400 head of cattle.  I grew up driving tractors, branding cows and fixing fence.  I hunt, fish , and haul my fifth wheel to the mountains weekly in the warm months.  I am a full time fireman and work a second job as a paramedic.

Since I am a Paramedic I am stationed at an outlying station with just me and the Engineer so once we are done doing our daily dutys, training, inspections and in between calls I can hook my ps up and play at the station which is obviously pretty cool and helps pass the 24 hour shifts.

My stats suck cuz I back out of matches that lag or if my teammates (dom) arent trying to cap flags.  My kdr is **** cuz honestly I dont care about my "video game reputation" and even if I did care Im just not a good enough "gamer" to have a really high one.  My monthly is around 1 which for me is pretty good.  .  I have been on a mission to gold guns that I hadnt seen gold before like the AA12, MK46, Pecheneg, FAD, M60 with my new pet being the MK36 (??)  all of which couldnt have helped my game stats as some (Pecheneg really arent that good of guns)

  • Re: Who are we? Anonymity is overrated...

43 here and been married (this time....lol) for 3 years.  together we have 4 daughters: 15,12,11,and 10 (all of whom are gamers).  The girls really got into BLOPS big time.  They loved playing combat training.  I have been gaming since the Atari 2600!  I am an xbox guy, mainly because I love the Halo series.  My first COD was actually BLOPS.  Loved it so much I went to Game Stop and picked up W@W and MW2.  I am also military.  Retiring in a couple of months after over 20 years in Special Ops.  Love playing COD, it kind of takes me back to my younger days....lol.  Sure wish we could have respawned back then...lol.  Any way, COD is my version of stress relief, after 6 combat rotations you could say I need to relax every so often.  My XBL GT is PsycoSAMURAI.  And I really wish the PS3 and xbox communities were able to play with/against one another.  Happy Hunting to all!

  • Re: Who are we? Anonymity is overrated...

36 in May, male, married 2 years, been with her over 20 years, we met when we were 12, (bit of a story there). No kids, we travel way too much, you see why in the next sentence. Aircraft mechanic, and pilot now for 15 years. Been all over the western hemishpere, South America, Central America, all over the Caribbean.

Been gaming since the Atari 2400. So for those who say its time to grow up and stop playing video games, never. Our generation gave birth to video games, and I'm here to stay. Besides in my down time, what am I going to do watch TV? There's nothing on anyways. My 20's were a blur, and now I finally got the chance to settle down, and not run all over like a chicken with its head chopped off.

From Rhode Island originally, been living and working in Massachusetts now. We like riding our dirt bikes, going to Patriots games (damn Giants), camping, hiking, boating, and fishing.

Ok ok i'll spill the beans too gosh you guys just wanna make me feel old grrrrr

I'm 34 years old served in the U.S. Army for 8 years (WHOA!!!)

Married for 10 years (but not sure for how much longer due to me and this game) 1 child 5 years old , Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY (GO Yankees, Mets, Jets, Giants, Knicks and soon to be Nets!!!) But I now reside in lovely always sunny Orlando, FL (I hate snow and dirty streets grrrrrr)

I've been playing COD since it's first release on the PC (I think I own about every COD game either on the PC, and or one of the consoles last time i checked) for MW3 i have it for both the xbox360 and ps3 + elite on both consoles (I find myself playing the ps3 version more often due to the way the joystick feels and responds in my hands compared to the xbox version)

  • Re: Who are we? Anonymity is overrated...

Finally a chill thread on the forums, I'll spill the beans too. I'm a 20 year old guy supporting myself through college by working 40+ hours a week. I'm born and raised in San Francsco and wouldn't consider COD an addiction of mine as I stumbled upon a copy of MW3 (actually got it from christmas as a gift from my parents). I lost track of video games in high school as I got caught up in academics and sports but I find this game has reignited my interest in video games. I'm working on a degree in English to hopefully become a teacher or a journalist someday. Beyond work and school, I'm deep into sports and am a huge fan of the Warriors, Raiders, Giants, and I also harbor a deep affection for art. I treat COD as a hobby but I'm usually on at odd times of the day (due to the fact I work and study from sunrise till sunset...literally).Take it easy

Almost 35 grew up in the Bay Area, now living in AZ. Huge 49ers fan and avid golfer was at scratch before my hips got all jacked up a couple years ago but that is another story. Started online FPS with BOPS and finally started to see some improvements with my play with MW3. OPB81 is my PSN name and derived from my twitter handle and screen name one putt blunder on a large golf forum. Other favorite games are Gran Turismo 5 and the TW golf series.

Not married but live in girlfriend of 3 years so just about there lol.
