A few ideas(FEEDBACK)

I'd like to see what people think about a few things I feel could help improve certain aspects of MW3 or an upcoming MW title.

First, pertaining to game lobbies.  I would love to see a "Mute All" option, that would effectively mute either all that are in the game lobby or(preferrably) the same "Mute All" option that would mute everyone in the lobby, EXCEPT those that are currently in your party.  I feel it would be very convenient and would love to see this in a future patch, if possible.

Second, pertaining to being "tossed" into a room that is almost over or one team is just getting CRUSHED(or both!).  Years ago, in SOCOM: US Navy Seals, you were given a prompt stating that the game was already in progress and whether you'd like to join.  This would significantly cut down on the amount of "free losses" one gets, which is quite frustrating to me and the people I play with.  My idea would allow for you(with or without a party) to jump into a game lobby before you actually hit the weapons loadout screen(at this point, you're already committed).  At this screen there could be a prompt at the top of the screen(maybe in yellow, or something) that would inform you that the game is already in progress.  It could even go as far as to display a score, not telling you what side you'll end up on.  Because I know for a fact that if it displayed a score of 5500-1900, for example, I would be inclined to find another game lobby.

I'm just looking for a little feedback, for now.  I WOULD however, like to bounce these ideas off of the right people, at some point.

It's a shame no one thought of these for the last several COD titles.  Good work!

I've done nothing but complain to my teammates about these features not being offered for awhile now, LOL!  I'm hoping to gain some traction here with people who share the same sentiment.  It'd be nice to not have to scramble to mute everyone, because 3 or 4 have obnoxiously loud music and to not catch a "free loss" after you and your teammates have rattled off 49 straight wins(and yes; that is what happened).  I don't think the requests would be too far-fetched...

I've been wanting a Mute All feature since MW2.

As far as joining matches in progress, while a prompt would be nice, there's a way you can get out of a match in progress without suffering a loss. When you join a match in progress, you'll hear the sounds in the background while you're at the class selection screen. If you hit circle twice, it will drop you to spectator mode. You'll be able to see the score and watch the game for a bit, check the scoreboard and see how each team is doing and find out what killstreaks are active. From here, if you don't want to join, you can leave the match without suffering a loss by hitting the Start button and selecting Leave Game.

What I would like to see, well that's quite an unrealistic dream:

More realistic play style with large maps capable of granting safe entries after a spawn and allow for tactfully inflitrating objective points. Because the maps are so big, there would be a larger population in each match, say 40ppl total

Each match would have a series of objectives that need to be completed each requiring a particular set of skills to accomplish; lock down an area for an extended period of time, destroy a location, escort an objective to a final location

Lots of holes in this, I know. But this would further take a FPS to a whole new level

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but does this not sound a lot like Battlefield?  I personally like the arcade style of gameplay that MW has to offer.  It's the reason I stopped playing SOCOM.  MAps started getting too big(WAAAAAAAAAAY too big and it made the matches drag on FOREVER.  And if you died and had to wait for the next turn....enjoy Facebook for awhile.  And this sounds like a complete engine overhaul....

It does sound like BF but I can't stand how the game actually plays, movement, class layouts, and overall how it works. I love MW 64 bit gameplay. I just wish the maps were bigger and lobby's were bigger and objectives were more team based and integrating multiple styles of play

BTW, this has been incredibly helpful and I'm glad I finally decided to ask on the forum.  Bravo.  Very informative.

@mithbtx: All good!!  Which makes the original post now more relevant!  Hahaha!  Infinty Ward!!!  Are you listening?!?  I just don't want this to fall on deaf ears...
