Yeah this happened to me a week or two ago (same scenario: everything working fine, then poof my mic stoped working).

Turned off the PS3 then turned it back on... voila, problem solved.  I have a feeling that if one leaves their PS3 on too long this could happen. Not confirmed though.

    - TB DPX21s here (maybe it is a TB thing)

had issues as well with the p11's, however mine was an issue where the left ear piece stopped working completely.  this happened on 2 sets in a 1 yr period.  finally spent the extra money to get the px21's, and no issues to date. (crossing my fingers)

Ive had many problems with turtle beach headsets, I use the PX21 and man I have had to return that piece of garbage back to best buy atleast a good 6 times! This brand of headset sucks! I am in the process of searching for a new one!

Yeah mine have been ok.. but when I went back to Black Ops the sound was terrible! I have a feeling that MW3 blew them out with the sound EMP.

I hear Trittons are good (one model anyway)... as well as other brands, but any decent pair is gonna be expensive. When I replace mine I will likely just buy the Sony PS3 wireless ones.

Are they best? Good lord no. But they are better than a kick to the seat of the pants and are reasonably priced. I have 2 friends that have them so I tried them and they do the job.

I'm not having your issue, but my TB set up has been acting screwy for the past two patches. It seems if I get into a heads up gunfight with 2 or more guys, that shortly after the firing starts, the sound gets all screwed up and muffled untill the fight is over. Happens mostly with Specialist on for some reason??? All other times, it works fine. I have also played Black Ops with my current set up (as I have only had the TB's for 5-6 months) and it does sound horrible. I'm not sure why, but it is just terrible. My set up is the P11"s with the DSS digital converter installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Agreed, rebooting solves the issue. I've had this issue with 3 TB headsets. They somehow get lost when switching channels...VERY frustrating....

There is a new headset out in may for 19.99.

Well I also had this problem and I went on YouTube and there was video that showed my how to dissemble my p11's and all I had to do was take out the two screws on the back Of the volume box then pry off the top, which takes some work then popped the motherboard out and checked the wires to make sure they are soldered and on mine the mic wire had come off the solder. But on the actual mic there is one screw that can be removed to check the solder points on those wires so make sure u check both of them. And if that doesn't solve the problem then your f'd.
