Ideas for Some M16 Setups?

Well in my quest to achieve max proficiency will all weapons I've come upon the infamous M16. Unsurprisingly, I've been having trouble doing well with it, and would love some ideas for setups.

Right now I'm using:

M16 RDS

Stinger

Recon Pro

Hardline Pro

Marksman

Specialist:

Assassin

Quickdraw

Sitrep

Frag

Trophy

If anyone has had any success with certain attachments, perks, ideas for style of play, etc. I'd love to know.

Rapid fire is a must. And I like ACOG as well. And its hard to rush with it. I like using it for defending areas. Works well for Dom.

Rapid fire, of course, is a given. The M16's fire rate is 780, rapid fire increases that by 15.6%. http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Rapid_Fire It does not decrease time between each bullet, it only decreases time between each three round burst. This is still useful as you will probably need a follow up shot to get the kill. I would also suggest a sight as well unless you're comfortable with the iron sight.

M16 Attachment w/ Rapid Fire & your choice of a sight

    I like Holographic and Thermal.

Secondary weapon is up to you, but I suggest something good for close quarters, the M16 lacks when it comes to CQC.

First perk is up to you. M16's reload isn't too bad so you can probably get away with not using slight of hand. Tri shot guns don't burn through ammo as much either, so again, you may be able to get away with not using scavenger. Really, it's up to you.

Second perk I suggest using quickdraw because more than likely you are going to use a sight and you need to ADS quickly.

Third perk is up to you as well. The M16 has pretty good range so Marksman is a good perk to have.

Tactical and Lethal are up to you.

Sadly, the M16 is only a shell of it's former self in MW3, so I suggest the specialist package to give you all the help you can get. If you want to get it gold, don't use anything other than the specialist package or support. If you use Assault, you're taking away kills you can get with your gun. And complete every challenge for the M16, the challenges boost your gun's proficiencies with the added experience.

Almost forgot. Good luck on your quest on getting every gun to max Proficiency. I too am on this quest, only I'm trying to get every gun gold. I'm about half way. I try to do the not so good guns first to get them out of the way. The m16 wasn't very fun.

When you get to the PM-9: use

      Kick, Silencer

      Slight of Hand

      Assassin

      Steady aim pro

scavenger as your first specialist streak

      2nd extreme conditioning.
      3rd any

I had alot of fun with the Pm-9 once I got use to it. Use on the smaller maps. You need to be close to whoever you shoot. It's VERY good up close, but is terrible far away. I say steady aim pro because you need to get close before you shoot and the pro makes your gun ready to shoot faster after sprinting. Also you can get a few shots in while you're ADS. It's tons of fun.

Ive been running it with Holo and Rapid fire. MP9 as a secondary. with SoH, Assassin, Dead Silence. C4 and Portable. That is how I use it in SnD. It is not bad when used correctly. Avoid CQC.
