One thing I really want to see from mw3...

That5What5Up

...is the streaks resetting when you get all of them.

Too often I've gotten dogs in BO and felt the life had no more meaning due to streaks not refreshing.  Hopefully they will at least give you some way to get your streaks all over again indefinitely, however difficult it may be to achieve.

If anything, it'll make the low streak classes more enticing to play for those who can get the highest streaks.

P.S. And no more of that "losing your streaks if you stack too many" BS in mw3

I personally miss "use it or lose it" in some ways...

MW3 kinda ruined killstreaks with the support package, back when it was hard to get killstreaks in MW2 even getting a UAV gave you some sense of accomplishment, with the support package even the biggest n00b can get a stealth bomber. but yeah they should let you stack killstreaks.

You get your 3 killstreaks, you do not get another killstreak until after you die, period.  Some things just shouldn't be messed with.

Guys, let's keep the inappropriate metaphors and blatant avoidance of our word filters off the site.

Be mature and communicate your ideas without having to resort to the tasteless stuff.

First off , just thinking that you may want to adjust the title of your thread. It really threw me off, thought you posted in the wrong forum.

I am totally against stacking and hoarding killstreaks. MW2 became an absolute mess for many reasons, not the least being that people let the streaks do all the work for them. They sat back and watched as AI powered streaks laid waste to the enemy. They'd stockpile all the streaks until the air was filled with them, making many matches unplayable. Black Ops was such a breath of fresh air, I never felt like the Streaks dominated the gameplay. Also, if you are getting Dogs so much that it seems wasteful to you, perhaps you aren't challenging yourself enough?

I don't understand the hatred for Support. I agree that it wasn't as well thought out as it could have been in MW3, but I have no problems with the concept behind it. Everyone deserves to enjoy themselves playing this game. Not everyone's play style caters to them getting high killstreaks, and that doesn't make them a "bad" player. I'd like to see it return, but with more streaks in the vein of "supporting" the team.  Items that may not directly result in kills, but help out the assault players and that may give your team a boost. Make every player valuable, not just the so called "Super Beast" or the guy who head-glitches over a wall the entire game to keep his precious K/D high.

I also hope that they bring back the Specialist package. Lets the player improve himself without the crutch of the killstreak.

Killstreaks are meant to be a supplement for the gameplay, not the gameplay itself. Make them mean something, and not be just Spam.

I would personally like to see the return of the strike packages, as it's versatile and can be suited to anyone's method of gameplay. Assault killstreaks use the typical way of hoarding kills in exchange for full-out offensive killstreaks, with the intention of winning the game. Support had a similar role, although it's obviously more support orientated and the killstreak doesn't reset when you get killed. This strike package encourages people to play the objective as for every flag capture, for instance, would lead to a point added on, and your killstreak doesn't reset, which is helpful if you died while capturing an objective, which is why it's so useful for objective players and team players, as you aren't penalised for dying.

Specialist, on the other hand,  literally transforms you into a one man army. It is the 'selfish' perk as it doesn't really aid the team in any way, as it complements the player using it and transforms the player into an efficient killing machine, which makes it the best strike package for firefights because it trades powerful killstreak rewards for extra perks to give you the upper hand in combat.

This kind of versatility is why I'd like to see the return of the strike package for Black Ops II, rather than the solitary kill chaining method of obtaining killstreak rewards.

Support Killstreaks started TOO low.  4 kills for a UAV.  I wouldn't have a problem with Support if it started the killstreaks at 8, that way they just couldn't be spammed like they are in MW3.  Another thing is take out the Stealth bomber, remote turret, and Juggernaught; handicapping bad players like deathstreaks.

That would suck. I mean, why would you accumulate 8 kills for, say, a counter UAV, which has Assassin Pro weaknesses? Same goes for Ballistic Vests as well. I personally have no problem with the Stealth Bomber as a support killstreak reward, as it is helpful for defending objectives. It is a little cheap in TDM, but you usually don't get it until the end of the game unless you're having really good games. I am however, in favour of increasing the amount of kills needed to obtain it,  say around 17-18. That thing can rack around 5 kills if positioned correctly.

And while I'm on the subject of wanting things from MW3 to return, I'm also in favour of seeing Kill Confirmed make a return.

  • Re: One thing I really want to see from mw3...

streaks should feel like an achievement , think that was lost a bit in mw3 with support, the streak needed to be thought out a bit more imo putting the empisis more on things to help the whole team instead of juggs and air support they could have added equipment , claymore , ammo drop things of that nature . i dont agree with stacking infinite amount of streaks i hope with bo2 it is more gun on gun and not killstreak support to farm kills
