I have come to the conclusion......

jwaller123

This post is not intended to be a huge rant or rage, just a conlusion that I have arrived at after 3 months of waiting.

I have come to the conclusion that reporting boosters does nothing in this game. It has been 3 months since I have reported two individuals for boosting in a Kill Confirmed game for a MOAB. I have sent them to three different individuals on these forums (one was merely a see if you could help me to foxhound) as well as tweeted them to IW Enforcers, and in case you were wondering..Yes...I posted the vid on YouTube and sent them the link.

I know many have had success getting boosters banned, I however have not and am starting to question exactly what they see as boosting since no action has been taken. I know that the system takes time as they need to go through all the evidence and what not, but how long is too long? Did my video not include the correct information? I guess I may never know. If it happens it happens, but in the meantime I am done wasting the time to gather the evidence. I will simply report them in game (which I did the first time) and move on.

With all that said have a good day fellow forumers.

When Candy and Jonny were running it for those few months it was great!  In fact, I'm proud to say I have had 142 banned/reset to date via them (about 100 were token glitchers).  Sure, sometimes it took a few weeks, but they got the job done!

However, since Tina came on and formed her "girls club" pulling Candice away to make a tandem community advisor group (who coincidentally interact with the community less than one person did), and they moved Jonny to another position, enforcement has become almost non-existant.  In fact, I have a group of 19 I sent in a few weeks ago.  7 of the 19 had nothing done to them including one who managed to get CMR/XDK mods on POST patch (dropping care packages in groups of four before the first shot was even fired, 15 Custom classes and mods right in his custom games).  ALL 11 of the token glitchers ONLY had their double XP reset.  I was wondering if they changed their policy (which would suck) and asked the @iwenforcers twitter if that was the case.  Twice!  No response. I asked Tina and Candy.  Same.  I asked Rubin and he said he believed it had not (and hoped it didn't) and advised me to send it to the infinity ward twitter.  I did twice, and finally got an answer that the penalties were the same as always and to resubmit. It's only been since Monday so I am awaiting results and/or a reply on that.  I'm up to 21 more to submit once these get taken care of, but I'm about to just say "screw it" myself.

I used to have a lot of faith in the system, and I know in previous threads I told you to as well.  However, with this "new" system, I'm not so sure.  They haven't even responded to a single tweet in almost 2 weeks if you look at their account.

I would like to thank all of the people that go through the added effort of reporting players who are cheating at this game. Sometimes, I know it can be rough to go through the trouble of gathering the needed information, but your efforts are appreciated.

I really hope there isn't a "new" failure system in place that is allowing cheaters to slip through the cracks. GL to you all.

Yotube isnt a perfect reporting system. even if you found a perfect video where they were boosting that does not help. In fact Youtube is NOT an official reporting system. Do you see a "youtube link" dialog box in the game ?

They very likely wil need the exact GAME that they were boosting in for the record.

For example, you sending MS a video of a blue avatar is not going to work. they still have procedures. and they have procedures for a reason.

They get 1000s of reports IN GAME a day. they dont have time to hunt down which game they are boosting. They cant waste time hunting down which game out of 100 domination games, for example, the player was boosting.

They need a Gamertag to mark where the report came from. Without that they cant work the report.

It follows the same procedure as Microsoft.

They need the data to look at or at LEAST the actual game itself. This is to mark the record when he was last reset and or temp banned so as not to do a repeat.

To get a report in a streamlined system where 10 seconds is too long to handle a report. so to get it done you have to follow that system.

the way you are acting is like the youtube video was supposed to be the proper foolproof method. Not once in your post did you say you reported them in game but you acted like going the youtube video was better than reporting in game.

Just like foxhound has said before. Report them in game to cover you bases.

I am not sure if it was him that said it but if after a few weeks then PM a PET if no action was seen.

I understand they have a system, and I know the system works. (many have mentioned they got boosters banned on the forums) I also understand YouTube is also not a perfect way of reporting. It was my first attempt at going back into theatre mode and rendering a 30 second clip of them TI boosting. I also included the GT names in the PM's I sent to Bancandy and Banstache. I might have done it wrong or maybe my PM's were never received. I did also mention that I reported them in game. Look at the second to last line.

Its a failed system. The turnover and or job change rate must be 90% over there creating mass hysteria. I submit stuff all the time. 1 out of 10 gets the hammer mayyyybe.I picture them picking who to ban out of something like this...

Short staffed because the game is near its end cycle. So they might be going after the worst criminals and the easiest to see at this point.

Look at it this way. Every booster is going to want to go to 1 one 1 games to boost and BOOM, bye-bye They just wait until they come to the corral

Every corporation goes through downsizing and shifting. Just like in Blops we are seeing the effects of this now.

robert bowling did the smart thing and started looking early for other work.

Also look at the good side, At least its not like before when their is NO anti cheat methods.

  • Re: I have come to the conclusion......

The modding and hacks in MW2 is what ultimately drove me to HC, and I've been there ever since. While cheaters do exist in HCKC, there aren't very many and its a lot easier to deal with them. A cheater generally wants to call in MOABs and get high killstreaks, so they tend to shy away from a game mode where its ridiculously easy to die.

That said, its a shame that the FFA gunplay list has been overrun with hacks, not to mention the failed fix to the map rotation. I don't even go into that playlist anymore.

  • Re: I have come to the conclusion......

I don't really get why people boost. Part of the enjoyment of this game is levelling up and earning new guns, pers etc.

Cheating too. Isn't it so much more satisfying to win a game legitimately?

I feel your pain, i go through the same thing when i reported people. I usually include the date and time of the match in my tweets to iwe so they know where to look on their end. I got sick of waiting so i sent bancandy a pm with the details and even with that they only reset the worst offenders i sent in. The good news is it was about 9 people in the same clan boosting for caps in clan ops. The infected boosters went untouched and are still at it.
