UMP TDM Solo MOAB Against Clan + Solo tips against clans -video-

Moofda

Herrow. Briefly, this video demonstrates what I consider to be good tactics  playing solo against a clan in TDM. I moab'd a clan solo and gave a light hearted, yet helpful commentary to aid the video.

Now here are the basic four tips that I believe can help if you ever face a clan in TDM. They may not be the best players, all clans are different. But, you can always count on them communicating, and that can be devastating when playing solo.

1. Play in a manner that is unpredictable. When you move around a lot its harder for a clan to communicate about your position on the map.

2. With that being said its best not to camp against a clan. With a clan you know there is communication so they will let their teammates know your location.

3. Talk to your randoms. Yes normally they may just be noobs with no communication skills but it doesn't hurt to ask. Maybe there is another player like yourself who will communicate back with you for better coordination. (In this case it worked for me)

4.Run Recon. You may not be able to talk to randoms but at least you can help them in game with recon or recon pro. Maybe even run support killstreaks. If your randoms can at least see the enemy on the map because of recon pro, you may have a shot at victory.

Nice gameplay. I normally play tactical and I don't move that fast. I'll try to keep running when playing up against a clan so they can't call-in my position. I'll try to keep that in mind and thanks for the tips.

I am impressed with your presence of mind. You run up the stairs, turned left, jumped and flanked the enemy who was running behind you. I'll try and pull that off and add it on my game.

Thanks man! Yeah I should've mentioned playing smart/tactical is always the way to go. Even if your team is horrible, at least you can still get a decent game in.  I just have caused the most chaos by being a pesky hit and run artist.

It's all about map awareness, I rarely chase the red dots but always look at the map to see where my team is. (well for core) Lets me know exactly where the angry enemy will most likely be at.

I hope I will someday play like that. MW3 is my break-out COD and I hope I'll just keep on getting better and better. The only problem is that I'm a very lazy gamer and sometimes, I feel like I spend more time on the forums than on the actual game. XD

By being lazy, I play on and off and sometimes I won't even play for weeks at a time. I get rusty and shaking the rust off has become my challenge.

I've played COD for years, but really fell in love with the series with the first modern warfare. After that, the addiction/obsession took over. WAW is still probably my favorite cod game.

I love cod, nothin beats the fluidity it has. Have yet to find a game that feels as "smooth".

You will get better the more you play. But more importantly, you have to just keep having fun. You probably get a lot more fun factor out of the game as you're not in as deep as COD addicts like me lol. I usually still  have fun, but I lead myself to boredom a bit too fast.

Yeah, there's no way around the rust factor sir. But, as you keep playing and getting better shaking off the rust won't take as long. Like I said having fun is more important anyway, it is a game after all. =)

I would disagree with number 4 (talk to your randoms)

Chances are they're not team players (note I said chances) so their not going to care and their probably Hedonists. I say just prepare for the worst possible out come. Run a small route, don't over extend yourself because you'll likely end up surrounded

Camp then move after a couple kills. Since there's communication the clan will likely take team approach to remove a camper. This means they're going to move in large groups. If you kill one and then move to a flank you can blind side half their team for a nice kill feed

    Essentially, use Gorilla Warfare

Perhaps, I should've said "try" talking to your randoms. That's what I said in the video anyway. You're right and most of the time they do not communicate at all, or swear at you for no particular reason. However, it doesn't hurt to try and sometimes people are willing to communicate about the enemy positions.

Like you said, get a couple kills and move on, you can't stay in one spot for too long. I've caused the most chaos by doing this and going deep into enemy territory. It's not for everyone, but it can be very effective.

i have to admit.. i muted the vid. LOL. but great gameplay. my girl watches me play and is always asking "how did you know to do that?". i try to explain you learn the maps and standard routes.. but it's hard to explain. you just "know". i also use a headset so can hear everyone around me and know where they are. between that and checking the map for my team's location (to predict enemy spawns) and a red dot here and there (i only play hardcore; which is my reason for neve using recon) i seem to do pretty well. i rush as well. it's so much fun.

anyway. good stuff man. two thumbs up.

My lord, I am in acceptance of your distaste for the commentary. This aspect of a video will always be subjective and maybe next time you won't have to mute me. I do respect your feedback, and will try to improve. I personally laugh at myself, and I mean out loud.

I do appreciate the feed back as well on the gameplay. Cheers to you for rushing in HC, I've found that difficult to do if hoping to go on a high kill streak. I definitley play differently with HC as I have to hit start to see where my team is at. I'm so used to checking the map in core for my teams location so that I can place myself to destroy the enemy.

      Cheers to you.

true about rushing in HC. but you learn it, i guess. to be honest, my killstreaks are non-impressive. i've gotten my specialist bonus quite often. but to be honest i don't usually get more than 8 kills before i die. LOL. i usually kill about twice as many times as i die and, for some reason, i seem to have the fewest deaths of the lobby while having one of the top 3-5 amount of kills. it's really weird. i find HC actually easier than core only because i end up on the wrong side of lagg and playing HC is the ONLY way i can get kills. LOL

i die a lot too.. but it's worth it. maybe i try core a bit more often.

in fact.. i just checked: i'm ranked..like.. 22k on the leaderboard for KC. haha.

"i don't play much.. but when i do, i play TDM KC". haha

oh.. and i have never ever ever ever come anywhere close to getting a MOAB. LOL. i think my highest streak is 13.

HC seems to be more forgiving as far as lag goes, as it takes less shots to kill. However, it can also be just as much as a nightmare, at least in my experience. I used to play HC a lot when I was a newer player to COD. I had to play at a slower pace as I couldn't make enough shots accurately to the fast pace of core.

It helped me learn a lot about playing tactically, but now that I'm comfortable with the game I prefer core as I can run around and have time to react to someone catching me by surprise and such. To each their own.
