Sorry but I haven't watched the Vid yet as I'm in at work, however I love the AK47.
I've been a huge fan of it since I unlocked it back in November!!!
Although i like most of the ARs the AK just always seemed to put a smile on my face, and that's what playing these games is all about.
I used to enjoy players griping about being killed by what was in their opinion "an inferior weapon". I laughed so hard at this as its normally the ACR and MP7 users getting bashed.
I always ran extended mags and silencer with it gold, however I went thru a spell of not using it and now if I equip it it's with a red dot extended mags. (Very dirty, but very loud)
I like you am a stalker user, it's a must with the lag. ADSing while going round corners is what keeps me alive and stakler helps me do that fast.
I tend to run the same set up for all my specialist AR set ups.
Sleight of hand, hardline and stalker.
1. Assassin, 2. Dead silence, 3. Scavenger,
C4 and concussions or radar.
I never found the visual bounce of the weapon too much of an issue, pretty sure I only used kick until I got impact, then went straight to attachments proficiency.
My way of looking at it is if your using specialist, u might aswell use attachments proficiency as once you've reached 7KS U get kick thru the specialist bonus.
Just my opinion though ;)
The AK47 is a very good gun, no question. I've always found kick useless with it. I typically go Silencer/Ext Mags or one of those two with focus. I find the majority of the recoil on the AK is visual, and even through that gun is bouncing every where, the bullets tend to stay right on target.
Assasain/SoH/QuickDraw is my typical loadout
Nice feedback guys, I'm just surprised I dont see it used more often. I guess I haven't really used it much either, so maybe people just haven't tried it enough. Wish I had used it more within the life of the game, as I really enjoy how it feels.
Whytie, I think I would go back to silencer and extended mags now myself after using it more. As you said, since I run specialist it would probably make more sense as I would pick up the proficiencies with the bonus. I almost always just have attachments on all my other specialist classes, I just hadn't unlocked much for the AK yet!
Yeah stang, the gun is just great for the med-long. I feel like I can just hold down the trigger now and mow them down.
You know Wrid, I naturally hipfire with SMG's in close quarters, but I have such a bad habit of at least not doing a couple hipfire shots first with the AR's. Only when I panic, as my first reaction is to shoot instead of knife, curse me! I will try to try out the hipfire with it, that could help me out a lot if I could get used to that.
Yeah error, I agree with you about the ACR. I've been trying to use as many weapons as possible. Have mostly been using a riot shield now, it's a lot of fun.
Yeah DBL, that's what I struggled with a bit before the buff. The visual kick or recoil, not a problem for me anymore. I think I'll take yours and whyties advice and use a silencer with extended mags and use specialist.
Love the Ak on small to medium maps, currently using a MK14 and Ak overkill setup at moment with specialist, I find using with kick and silencer is good for me although some would argue kick not required. Almost at 10k kills.
Ak was a firm favourite on BO's and although I wasn't so keen first time I used on MW3 I went back to it and love it now.
Best gameplay so far. I used extended mag and silencer when I used the AK. I always used sitrep pro in MW2, but it is just not the same in MW3. I think it is my headset. I have had the same trittons since MW2 and I think they just do not work right anymore. I had 39 days in MW2, 26 days in Black Ops, and have 30 days in MW3 so far. Plus thousands of hours in other games. So I have switched over to stalker since my headset does not work right.
At 2,500 kills with 28 guns now. I will not get to finish them all . I had 2,500 kills with all primaries in MW2 and wanted to do it again in MW3.
Another quality MoAb Moofda, I have also neglected the AK but everytime I pick it up from a dead enemy it always does well for me. It's true the viewkick animation doesn't correspond to the bullet spread, it was the same in past CODs as well. Pretty distracting for distance shooting but when one gets accustomed to it the ass kicking begins :)
The AK was my favorite gun in BO as well workhard, I loved that thing so much. I like the MW3 version, but the BO one will always take first place in my heart.
Thanks AE.I have a headset too, but once I got a tried stalker it was hard for me not to use it with all AR's or machine guns. I will miss it dearly with BO2.
Im quite the opposite kelly, I use a silencer on almost everything except sniper rifles I suppose. There are some exceptions for me, but staying off the radar really benefits my play style.
They're everywhere sutakas, you just have to strike when the time is right. =)
Thanks Datura, long time sir. Yeah, they always make the AK view kick a little extreme for how little recoil it's actually dishing out.(in the game of course) I liked how the AK worked in BO better. But as you said after becoming used to it, it's a death machine. I've yet to try hipfiring with it, but wridtrvlr said good things about that as well.
You're not a noob, it's just your preference. I only use a sliencer because I mostly play TDM. It's beneficial for my play style as I like to get behind the enemies.
In most modes, I like being loud, the only ones I really want to be silent in is TDM or FFA. KC as well, just becuase those are more based on killing. It's all prefernece baby!
