‘FUEL UP FOR BATTLE’ with Mountain Dew®, Doritos® and Call of Duty®: Advanced Warfare.  The Fuel Up for Battle promotion allows players to customize their Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare multiplayer experience by accessing in-game gear through the new ‘Supply Drops’ reward system.

 

Starting October 6, fans in the U.S. can collect codes from specially marked packages of DEW® and Doritos products and enter them online at www.DewandDoritos.com to enhance their gaming experience and create a unique identity for their advanced soldier by unlocking exclusive (until Feb. 15, 2015) Dew and Doritos in-game gear.

 

Players can customize their character with accessories such as an exoskeleton, loadout vest, helmets, goggles, boots and more.  Gamers will also be able to unlock double XP and rapid supply rewards. Every code entered from DEW and Doritos packages unlocks Call of Duty in-game rewards and each code entered will also provide a chance to win an Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft.

2.jpgKicking off the week at Gamescom was the Multiplayer Global Reveal, where Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Multiplayer was unveiled to the world. Check out our blog recap and Facebook photo album from the event.

 

3.jpgAs Gamescom opened, it was all about letting fans get hands-on with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Multiplayer. See what it was like to experience our Gamescom booth and find photographs from throughout the week in our Facebook photo album.

1.jpgGamescom 2014 has been the place for fans to get the first ever hands-on with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Multiplayer. For those that couldn't be here, this is what it was like to visit the Gamescom booth.

The line to play Multiplayer filled up as soon as the doors opened and stretched around the booth throughout the day. Some fans were more prepared than others.

 

3.jpgOnce inside the booth, fans file into the Call of Duty Arena, where they can watch pro players engage in show matches while waiting for their own opportunity with the game.

 

4.jpgThen it's on to one of the many stations to try out Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Multiplayer!

 

5.jpgFans are given time before their matches to explore and experiment with the many available Multiplayer customizations.

 

6.jpgThe fan experience doesn't end outside of the booth though. Exoskeleton-clad Advanced Soldiers were on-hand to pose for pictures.

 

7.jpgDisplay cases also showed off the Limited Edition Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Xbox One, which will be releasing alongside the game on November 3rd for those that pre-order and get up to 24 hour early access on Day Zero. The custom-designed Xbox One includes a 1 TB hard drive and console sound effects.

 

8.jpgIn addition to being included in the Xbox One bundle, the special Xbox One Controller will also be available for purchase on its own.

FAB eSports are one of 12 teams participating in the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Pro Bootcamp. 

 

12 competitive Call of Duty teams from around the world are at gamescom 2014 to participate in the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Pro Bootcamp presented by ESL (Electronic Sports League). Call of Duty Championship participants like EnVyUs and Epsilon eSports are competing in show matches daily, giving attendees and fans around the world a taste of what's to come on November 4th.

Tune in to the Pro Bootcamp stream 10am PDT/5pm CEST at www.twitch.tv/CallofDuty. Casters Ben "Benson" Bowe, Alex "Goldenboy" Mendez, Mike "Hastro" Rufail, and Marius "Jamarz" Westlund will take viewers through the action with a different theme on each day's stream.

Sledgehammer Games studio heads/co-founders Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey took the stage to discuss a new era in Call of Duty, centering on the game changing movement and capabilities of the exoskeleton.

A big announcement was made at the end of the Multiplayer Reveal, as Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg revealed the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Day Zero Edition.

For the first time ever in franchise history, fans that purchase the Day Zero Edition will be able to access the full version of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare up to 24 hours before the retail release! In addition, Double XP will be active for the duration of November 3rd, making all of your Multiplayer progress worth twice as much.
