Early Success for Newly-Formed Teams

With a number of roster changes taking place since MLG Anaheim, UMG Dallas is the first test for many new-look squads.


Most Wanted looked strong in their 3-1 series win over Strictly Business, highlighted by a 17-7 performance in S&D by Nick "Classic" DiCostanzo. Noble.Vanquish surprised a tested Curse squad, sweeping them 3-0 to advance to the 2nd round. Also moving on in the Championship Winners Bracket is Denial, who pulled away from VexX Gaming in a 3-1 series win.


EnVyUs Off to a Hot Start

EnVyUs started off strong in Dallas, as the Gfinity G3 champions took out JusTus in a convincing 3-0 sweep. The "Boys in Blue” did it with a 71-point win in Domination followed by a 6-1 win in S&D. They'll start Saturday action against the winner of the FaZe/Rise matchup.


Open Bracket Update

They played into the early morning, but the qualifiers from the Open Bracket are starting to come together. Some top teams like Rise and Excellence Gaming continue on in the Open Winners, while others like XGN and Stunner Gaming will need to do some work in the Open Losers.


UMG Dallas 2014 continues Saturday, as teams like OpTic Gaming, OpTic Nation, and Team Kaliber begin their bid for a championship placing. The action begins 10:30am/CDT on MLG.tv/UMG.
