ClanWars-London_665x374.jpg

With the New Year upon us, what better way to celebrate than some friendly competition? To honor the arrival of 2014, we’ll be running our first New Year Clan War from Wednesday, January 1st at 12PM PST through Monday, January 6th at 12PM PST. The destination: London, our first setting in the European continent.

London introduces the potential to unlock two new pieces of content, including:

ClanWars-London_nightowl.jpg

With the Body Count uniform, camo and helmet options, you can truly represent your Clan’s prowess in each multiplayer match. And for those Clans that haven’t yet obtained top place in Gold Division or higher, you’ll have plenty more opportunities to lock down the goods in future Clan Wars.

If you haven’t already, be sure to download the free Call of Duty® app so you can follow your Clan’s performance throughout the London event, and please reach out to @InfinityWard or @Beachheadstudio with further questions and feedback.

Good luck, happy New Year and we’ll see you online!

New to Call of Duty® Clan Wars?

Your Clan’s goal is to acquire as many Capture Points (CP) as possible throughout the Clan War. CP are awarded when you capture any of the 10 nodes on the Clan Wars map. Your Clan’s CP will never decrease throughout the Clan War (i.e. Your Clan keeps all its CP until completion of the Clan War).

Each node on the Clan Wars map is tied to a different Multiplayer game mode in Call of Duty®: Ghosts. Every time a Clan Member wins a match relevant to one of the nodes, that player earns a point for their Clan toward the capture of that node. Whether you’re playing alone or with other Clan Members, each player’s wins will tack on another point toward the corresponding node.

For more information, including details on Divisions, Achievements and more, follow the News & Events section in the app.

Good luck and we’ll see you online!

The second Clan War for Call of Duty®: Ghosts is here, taking us far west of Los Angeles to Oahu, Hawaii, located deep in the North Pacific Ocean. This Clan War takes place from Wednesday, December 4th at 12PM PST through Monday, December 9th at 12PM PST.

ClanWars_oahu-665x374.jpg

Along with the new location comes the opportunity to unlock more content via Clan War Achievements. Oahu itself brings the possibility of two more pieces of content, both for its specific location and as the second Clan War for Clans of Gold Division or higher that placed 1st in Los Angeles:

In addition, we also have more patches, a reticle and camo that Clans can unlock via any Clan War, including this one:

reticle_triad.png

Triad, unlocked via the Taste of Victory Achievement

Win a Clan War

camo_bodycount.jpg

And that’s not all. Because Clan Wars is a constantly evolving experience, we’ve updated some of the mechanics that may affect your Clan’s strategies over the next 5 days.

1)    Clans will now gain additional points for holding a node they have captured. It’s up to you to determine whether it’s more beneficial to defend captured nodes or move on to the next. Or maybe it’s better to split up and work on both…

2)    Oahu offers its own set of game modes, along with some changes to the amount of CP awarded per node capture. It’s up to you to experiment and discover which nodes are prime targets for capture and defense.

3)    It’s still all about the wins! Teamwork is the most important strategy to success in Clan Wars. If you’re not winning your matches, you’re not contributing to victory.

If you haven’t already, be sure to download the free Call of Duty® app so you can follow your Clan’s performance throughout the Oahu event, and please reach out to @InfinityWard or @Beachheadstudio with further questions and feedback.

Good luck and we’ll see you online!
