Nobody can make any kind of code that is hack proof, so why should this game be any different.

That's a given, but they don't even ban people who are known hackers. The game has been repeatedly hacked by the same people since December, and they haven't taken any action against any of their accounts. If you want to see what im talking about, go see the top of the zombies leaderboards, and watch some of their recent games.

boy, you are a funny guy.... either you are just trying to be funny or are just blind to the world or a hacker yourself.

          • 52. Re: Game already has hackers

Lol, def. a hacker, hate to admit it, that was me......No just kidding i wouldn't hack a video game. Its like takin viagra and claiming to be awesome in sex lol. I love how people are all like 'oh the life cylce is almost up so they won't care for hacks......BS, they know that EVENTUALLY people will not buy the next installment, MW2 was hack a thon plus, but as the games get more progressive, the hacks die down. Unless your on PS, cuz you can make a free account whenever you want. Xbox, MS, they will ban hackers.

Not blind to the world. Its called being a realist.

No software is hack proof. Nobody will EVER make software that is hack proof. So how does that make me blind ? Did I say there was no such thing as hackers ?

Your assumption that just because I say what I said makes me a hacker just goes to show you the lack of intelligence involved in your statement.

Now as for asking for proof, well I am not going to help a person ban someone just because they claimed he was a hacker. There are TONS of claims on this forum that shows people crying the word hacker just because they got their tail handed to them.

Sure there are hackers but it is still rare. Just like the last well known hack that showed up before an extended weekend they crushed that hack within hours.

There are a high majority of people that got reset that dont post on the forums.

We wouldn't need to debate the issue if they just gave us some numbers.  But, for some reason, they won't.  My guess is they know the data would just prove what most suspect--that they do very little.

Hackers this late in the game cycle actually help the bottom line for the new title.  We can sit and debate how much or little they do about hackers (my opinion is they deliberately do little), but in the end they're motivated by what will help maintain optimum sales.

Lets be honest, is BOI really that different from BOII?  Will Ghosts be that different from MW3?  Heck, I think WaW is a better game than all those that followed it, the only reason I don't play it, in fact decided to get MW3, is because it was hacked to absurdity.

You have a valid point, but what I was stating is that the game was hacked less than a month after the release date, and nothing happened to the hackers! Theyre still on there! It makes Treyarch look incompetent, lazy, or both.

No community does. Issues like bannings and what not are kept secret. You will never know if action was taken. Its not just BO2 that does it. All games to my knowledge behave the same way

Could be, but they have released data on how many people have been banned before. But this isnt the first company to hide their banning numbers.

No offense but we are on the outside looking in. If they refuse to release numbers then that is their business. They dont owe us any numbers at all. I leave the "conspiracy theories" out when I am on the outside looking in.

Again , no offense meant. Just I dont think jumping on the "they are hiding something" bandwagon isnt the right way to go when they do have a privacy policy. Corporations are allowed to hold some secrets. Do we really need the total numbers when we see people posting "why was I banned" here and on the Xbox forums ?

You notice how this hack and the last one seemed to show up on Friday before a big weekend ?

Makes me wonder if MS really does have plans to hold off and ban peoples gamertag a week after they buy a new year of subscription
