        50. Re: Quickscoping in Call of Duty: Ghosts.

I think for snipers they should remove ALL AIM ASSIST.

I like to snipe sometimes and can quick scope.

It would certainly bring skill back into sniping and quick scopers would be held in esteem if they got no aim assist on consoles.

you ASSume I get owned by snipers, I never said word one about my difficulies or lack of at all just stated an opinion, when in fact I don't nice try troll.  And aim assist is still present and in use.  you musta have felt personally attacked by my comment which means you yourself use "QS" a lot.  Try to use a sniper rifle as intended and not a cheap exploit of aim assist. Ozhm is right its simply an exploit of sniper rifles and instead of fixing it IW decided oh its a legit gameplay style

Today I saw a guy hip fire a Sniper Rifle and get a OHK in the first bullet at SMG range.

What are we exactly complaining about ? lol

sniping wasn't an instant kill up close and actually took some skill. Gasp. BLOPS 1 sniping was perfect. You could still quick scope if you knew what you were doing(basically let go of the movement stick, then ads and you were good) and it actually added some level of skill to COD sniping.

Black ops 1 in general was easily the best CoD

QS is about to get a whole lot worse when that new dlc sniper comes out

                  55. Re: Quickscoping in Call of Duty: Ghosts.

I have to disagree somewhat. I love sniping. Quick scoping and actual sniping as well. BO2 maps were too small for legit sniping. Quickscoping was a way of improvising. Many of times I had to do cause someone got the drop on me. Now I'm not Faze or Optic nade or anything but I would say I'm a decent QSer.

However, many of those panic qs shots resulted in failure. The time to zoom in again, even with the ballista, takes much to long to pull off an accurate shot. I don't care what anyone says. The aim assist does not help THAT much. For long distance shots it's even a hinderence. Not to mention the wide dead zone in BO2 makes long range sniping a huge chore (I play at max sensitivity.) Ghosts on the other hand, only has aim assist after you've been zoomed in for a second or so. Even so, I find it MUCH easier to snipe in Ghosts. QSing or otherwise. The smooth aim and small dead zone make things feel fluid and you can get into a groove.

The funny thing is though, despite the fact that I love  to use sniper rifles, I always do much better with ARs. So I can't say I agree that QSing is overpowered, even in BO2. It's unlikely that you can pop someone close up if they are moving and jumping around but it's possible.  Plus, in Ghosts, the maps are much larger which permits legit sniping. I'd say the only things I dislike about Ghosts is the lack of Theater mode and the shotgun slug nerf. That's about it.

If someone tells me I'm cheap and a bad player when I quickscope. I challenge them to a 1v1 where I have a weapon of my choice and they have a sniper rifle. Using the sniper they may only drag or QS.  99% of them decline and the few that take me up on the offer, got beaten thoroughly.

So QSing is not a noob tactic. It's a difficult method that takes practice and many never make it into the 70% accuracy range. Hell even 50% runners are few and far between.

                    56. Re: Quickscoping in Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Actually, something I just thought of. Are they simply punishing snipers in general? With the toughness perk severely brought down, I'm wondering if it is worth while to use.The reason why I wonder if they are punishing snipers is because a lot of the ARs and marksman rifles (though that makes a bit more sense for the latter) are incredibly accurate and can flinch you pretty hard, even with the toughness perk. Stick and move doesn't really seem to work. The most I can say is all of the stealth perks can only hide you for a little bit before someone sees your tracer. It kind of seems as though they wanted Ghosts to be a run and gunner, yet makes maps that are much larger than previous entries.

                        58. Re: Quickscoping in Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Snipers are garbage. I'll run into whole teams of people using snipers and a whole team running snipers is stupid and all they have to do is hide and camp one spot and they can win because they know how to do good in one spot. CoD needs to take a page from the Halo playbook and make snipers and LMGs kill streak weapons. Remove the specialist kill streaks and add a weapons kill streaks that get you snipers, LMGs, and special weapons like the minigun or put LMGs in the assault kill steaks and put snipers in the support kill streaks. That is the best compromise and snipers especially quick scopers ruin the F*****G S**T out of CoD and aren't going to do anything to make the game better (by better I mean harder to use snipers or more difficult to quick scope and easier to use shotguns, SMGS, and ARs) if they can camp out one spot the whole game and do "well" that way instead of making CoD go back to its roots of being a fast paced and fun game. It's not all snipers fault CoD sucks though, the ridiculously huge maps don't do much to help make this game any more fast paced or fun unless your favorite game is hide and see, and even then it's only more fun but still not any faster paced. The maps do seems to favor snipers more since even the best ranged ARs take nearly a half clip to get a kill from long distances because of damage drop off while snipers have unlimited range and extremely open areas to easily kill targets across the map. Also for some reason the people who make CoD think bullets travel faster than the speed of light so snipers don't even need to lead in their shots, which is what makes sniping more difficult on other games like Battlefield and Halo and earns snipers respect on those games because you actually need an above average level of skill to use them.

Quick scope sucks, they need to totally do away with it! I can watch the kill cam and the actual crosshairs never come close to me, 2-4 in front or behind me but yet I die! that is complete BS because I don't get a kill for doing the same thing with my LMG or AR!
