totally on board with you mate. its literally a sick joke, they net shitloads of cash and put nothing back into the franchise. ghosts is dead in the water, other games that provide the required level of support to players are out and around 80% of the cod player base has disappeared. Activision need to wake up fast as they are going to be in with a shock if they think they can push out mw4 with nothing upgraded in terms of game engine and full dedis.
lol i don't, haven't played in ages as its such a poor quality game. i'm like many other COD fans that have been disgusted and left to play older COD's or simply play newer better titles such as TF. i play BF4 now instead as this game has been a cluster f*ck of mistakes.
however i love COD and want to see them turn it around. if patches fix the game i'd come back. always been my attitude
I never once had a host migration or any serious lasg until about two weeks ago. Now, I get two or three host migrations a night and a couple of lobbies feel like the old and absolutely terrible BO2 lag.
The X1 Ghosts ran SO smooth before two weeks ago. So disapointed.
I live in California....
I have noticed that I'm being put in a lot less laggy games, and I rarely encounter a game-ruining lag. However, maybe 1/5 games I play have a slight lag, the kind that makes bullets not fire in killcams and hitmarkers register badly.
The only dedicated servers being in California kinda makes sense though, isn't that where the Activision/whatever HQ is located?
I had a feeling this would happen. COD is a multiplatform game and it's very expensive to get Dedis for a game like this.
You would need to invest in servers for each console and have a team of engineers for each. Just not very cost effective for a company. I give credit to EA for doing it w BF, but the experience on console is god awful sometimes
