The name itself is Call of Duty. It made sense in the early CoDs.... Soldiers answering the Call of Duty, fighting for their country.
So.. what is the Call to Duty here? Will the Protagonists be Soldiers fighting against these PMCs?
I was just thinking the "Call of Duty", title might need to be dropped, since this is one of the main things keeping all these stories together over the years. It would give less of a reason for people to complain as well. You could always say, "Its not Call of Duty! Its Advanced Warfare".
I have always stuck with cod because of its historical or believable stories. This will possibly be hard for me to swallow. I suppose time will tell, but like AntiGov said, Sledgehammer has a lot to prove to me after their Elite debacle.
Based on what we know I would expect treyarch's next game to span multiple timelines. Treyarch has hinted at WWII many times, and Frank Wood's actor has stated he is part of the project on twitter. This is where he would like Wood's to go. I personally wouldn't mind if treyach's next game is WWII only, but time will tell.
Whatever happens with the new COD it is a basic guarantee that it will be a better game than Titanfall or the newest Battlefield.
Unlike Titanfall we know we will get our moneys worth in content and not be buying an overpriced bare bones game with minimal games modes and unlike Battlefield we know the the basic game will at least function efficiently despite a very large playerbase and not have game breaking bugs like EA's piece of garbage.
Hopefully Destiny performs well so COD has to up their game some.
You mentioned Titanfall, I have played 300 hours of Ghosts MP and yesterday did the campaign start to finish on Hardened and Veteran for one story for the Trophy. I really enjoyed it, so much of MP now makes sense
I usually always play campaign first.
