Not zombie related but hilarious none the less.
Late last night the offices of Los Angeles-based independent game studio Robotoki were stormed by the Los Angeles Police Department after a curious designer pressed the building's "panic" button, studio founder Robert Bowling told Polygon.
The 911 response ended in a tense showdown with a life-sized statue of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's Simon "Ghost" Riley, which the police mistook for a gunman.
The odd tale began when one of Robotoki’s curious game designers decided to fool around with the office’s panic alarm system." This is not okay and if this happened in the city where I'm a police officer this game designer would be hit with a very heavy fine. 911 system is not a toy. Nothing is funny about having cops race code 3 with there lives on the line to a scene where they believe there a active shooter.
An idiot pressed a button that wasn't there the day before.
It's called an accident. There was no ill intent. Calm down.
This is why we should keep the zombie forum about...zombies.
Actually panic buttons are pretty darn self explanatory. its not like they mount the buttons next to light switches. They go under desks what did the developer think he was ordering room service? It's different if a little kid pushes it this is a adult he honestly can't be that stupid.
What did he think?
You find a button you've never seen before you don't assume it's a panic button.
With no prior knowledge of any panic buttons being implemented into their facility he would have absolutely no reason to assume that this new button would summon a police force.
Again panic buttons are place under desk to be out of sight why would they go threw trouble hiding any other button ? This guy is a complete moron thank god he does not work at nuclear facility.
A little common sense would surely make it obvious that this thread was moved to the off topic section from the zombies section.
(Hence the first sentence of the OP.)
