Worked forever and then suddenly did not connect yesterday. Issue still persisting.
Have the error code 43.0.-1 in upper right corner. Nat is open. when I click "online" it hangs "getting information from steam" and then 30-45 seconds later, cannot connect to black ops servers etc..
Have turned off antivirus, reset router partially and fully, tried both dynamic and static ip's, port forwards, verifying steam integrity, downloaded game 3 times, reinstalled steam.
The only thing that moderately worked was turning a vpn on and trying from a different (united states or UK) location. Nat went to moderate though and was unplayable and so was ping.
Please fix this! I have tried everything that can be tried to no success.
My geographical location is BC, Canada.
And yes, im hardlined in with ethernet, no wifi. always have been. I even switched those out as well. further to this, im referring fully to the multiplayer portion of the game of course, not zombies, which ive never installed and never will.
other games including previous editions of COD all work in multiplayer online except this one.
Hmm. The only possible workaround I can think off to really determine the main cause is to have another Steam account with Black Ops 2 be tested out on your PC and check if it would let you connect online. If it still won't connect, the issue may now be with the ports you have setup for the game.
Thank you for the response!
It seems that the issue was indeed a COD server side issue and has been rectified without my having to do any further troubleshooting. The last time this occurred was when Black ops 2 first came out and many could not connect due to server demand.
Ah well! Back to fragging!
edit: oh as an afterthought, these were the ports I forwarded and they have worked since day 1.
How long did it take for the servers to be up and running. Because i have the same problem. Thank you
