Same issue here on mission 2 - I have 2 GTX580's - tried in SLI and non-sli modes. Same issues. Tried new drivers and older ones. Same issue.
Such incredible b.s. All we get from @pcdev is check your drivers.
Shit all over the PC community, again.
So tired of it.
Same here, GTX 570. Was on 306, but tried the betas released so far too (selected the clean install option each time). For the sake of saying it, this definitely isn't the only issue I've been encountering in the game, just the most consistent. It's been a matter of when this problem was going to happen, not if.
There are 43 replies to this and still not a single word from the devs. Well that tells you alot about the customer care policy this company has. Sad, very sad.
Having the same problems as all the above players, cant seem to get past boat intro scene on mission 2. Been experimenting back and forth and its no point trying any longer.
I know it requires time to fix this and its probably not done easily but hey, we payed for this and want to play so please be a little informative is better than keeping shut.
Yeah this just worked out for me.
This is the best solution so far.
1. get the afterburner from http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/index.htm
2. it should be something like this, set ur core clock in the orange square to 725 or below (725 works for me but I'm not sure if you need to set the value lower)
3. click on the apply button as the red square above
4. open BOII and kill everyone u see
EDIT: If you're having problem read the jpeg above, try http://imgur.com/hXVoa
FIXED. At least so I can play the campaign.
Performed the MSI Afterburner fix as detailed in the replies here, and I got past the boat freeze, completed the mission, started the next.
Reduced core clock to 725
ok people all you need to do is put your computer time at +8:00 that will be hong kong and computer date at 11/14/2012 and bam no crash on start up it worked for me and i hope it will help all you people that where as pissed as i was happy killing!!
Underclock my 580!!??!! Kinda defeats the purpose of having a 580. This is not the solution to our problem. Come on developers!!!!!!!! You got our freaking money now make it so we can play.
How many FPS are you guys pulling in MP on your 580's? I have a EVGA GTX 580 HydroCoper and I am only pulling 63 - 73 FPS. This seems extremely low. I have a buddy that has a 470 and he is pulling 147 FPS. Just wondering if you fellow 580 owners are having the same results or if I bricked the card while I was OCing.
