EMP should not have been a Support Streak either. That was ridiculous to earn a high end kill streak at the end legit and than have it shot down by a dang EMP.
Assassin makes you immune for it, so not many players were affected by it.
Actualy Assassin made you immune just about any scorestreak.
Support for mw3 was great. The mw3 support streaks were bad when it still gave you killing options. Stealth bomber was dumb and half of the crap that dropped out of escort air drop like remote sentrys. Supoort kill streaks should only give you supoort items.
I only play KC. I Feel that you shouldn't get credit unless you confirm the tag. Tag = kill. No tag means you wasted your time it should only give you credit for an assist. Lol.
I'm sorry but Support for MW3 was the WORST idea COD ever gave us. You can go 18 and 100 and still get a Stealth Bomber to potentially win you a game you don't deserve to win? Screw that. Scorestreaks was a pretty solid idea to give us Obj players something to look forward too AND make those campy guys work harder or switch up style and play the obj as well.
I do agree with you on somethings but you can't say it was a failure because it's NOT the game, it's how people play it. Scorestreaks was a genius idea.
Oh yeah, show me footage of someone going 18-100 winning a game? The best thing with Support is that it was a great tool to wum MOAB Hunters. I'd rather play against a person gone 18-100 and get killed by a Stealth Bomber than go against a well coordinated team of six chaining EMPs. That said, Specialist will easily be available if I get that if I can't call in killstreaks.
As you say, it's how people play it. So if people stop creaming themselves over streaks and play the objective then the Support concept would have never been required. The fact that IW never changed it so KC required confirmed kills to get streaks etc. is a great stain on what would be some great game modes I'd enjoy.
Kills are worthless, unless they pertained to objectives.
If i had to change how players are rewarded in the spending system I came up with, playing Kill Confirmed grants points for confirming and denying, but 0 points for the initial kill.
What about long range weapons? If someone snipes from across the map, he shouldn't get any points?
If you are playing Team Deathmatch or Free For All, you are granted more points if you get a headshot or Longshot. But in other game modes, the answer is no.
I think the system is great for DOM, HQ, Hardpoint and Demolition. I dont play KC so maybe the points just need to be tweaked a little.
These are the best DOM games I've ever been a part of. Everyone jumps on flags.
Sorry it seams you're not enjoying the game. Maybe you need to play a little slower going for those tags. Use scavenger and make sure you're throwing tacticals before going for those tags.
I don't see a whole lot wrong as far as it goes for objective-based. I just finished a game of domination on Carrier and I only had 4 kills throughout the entire game and over 25 deaths, yet still was 1st on leaderboards, the guy below me had 28 kills and only 3 deaths, yet he never once went after the flags. So not sure where you're coming from. As far as scorestreaks/reward system that doesn't reset upon death, that just comes with the package. You don't have to kill to get the rewards, but you do at least have to stay alive and not just be a burden on the team. That's my two cents.
