Call of Duty Black Ops 4 General Discussion Forum

I'm not trying to say it's "easy" and some random off the street with 5 minutes could hack anything of note.

Just game companies only do so much to protect their games but it serves them no purpose to hack the game themselves it's not going to increase sales it would push people away. Have you ever looked at what IT jobs pay? Unless you're running a massive company or head a huge IT branch they simply do not pay that well. Most IT degrees end up being Help Desk specialist at companies because Jeff down the hall doesn't know how to turn his f'ing monitor on or his email seemingly won't load. You're looking at 14-20$ an hour which is honestly absolutely nothing.

They are rarely even hiring for IT security at any of these gaming companies. It's always temp game testers, graphic artists and things of that nature. Most console games stay pretty sound and safe for the majority of their life especially well into a consoles life cycle.

I have been working for a small software company as a help desk and coder. However my skills are not good enough and I was not educated enough.

BTW, Companies are hiring IT specialists to protect their data, what is stored in a database. Databases are easy to read once u have access. U really need the source code to know what's happening in a program file. On a PC the easiest to hack is a serial code or the security system that protects that u are not able to play a copied game.

But as by cod auto aim autoshot etc, u need to be good coder who I should give a job by any software company, that guy shouldn't waste his time making homebrew hacks Smiley Happy

Oh, and an IT specialist cost Hondreds of $$$ per hour. For 20$ per hour I will do the first line help desk, which doesn't require a lot knowledge Smiley Happy

I was more basing the "not worth it" thing

on living costs especially new england. 20$ an hour is great starting out in most places where you can actually afford to rent an apartment that's not a crack house. It's dependent on location too but I understand your point.

If it makes you feel better there seems to be a fair bit of hackers on NA servers on the PC as well so it's really a PC issue (as per usual since even in 2019 we seemingly struggled to properly protect games from hackers..>Fortnite,COD,BF,CS all have hackers so it's really nothing new.

The later CODs that were being produced for Last Gen and Next Gen
COD Ghosts for example was released on the PS4 on PS4 Launch day Nov 15th 2013 while it's last gen versions were at the beginning of the match and that game from day 1 was filled with hackers.

For the most part console COD seems to be able to avoid hackers early on in the game and they don't typically show up until later in the games life cycle (There are still hackers on BO1 which utterly amazes me)

There's no real proof for PS5 or the new Xbox release dates. The general idea is E3 will breathe some light onto their production and how far along they are. It's probably more likely 2020/2021.

PS1 was released 1995 in the US/EU (93 in japan)
PS2 was release in 2000 and ran until 2013(everywhere)
PS3 was released in 2006 and Ran until 2016
PS4 was released in 2013 (everywhere)

They try to push the consoles to a 10 year life cycle and still focus fairly heavily on the previous generations games as they work out all the kinks in the Next Gen Consoles so 2020 seems a reasonable timeline following it's normal production times.

If the producers amazes that there are hackers, good reason to stay away from this garbage.

If I should not have tablet, I am really not able to play. All those idiots using auto aim, auto fire, running 3x faster around than the max speed u can have with perks, calling a Heli befor any kills.....etc.etc,

İ should have fun playing but it's more a deease, most of those guys using cheats are known , but u can't avoid them.

Reporting doesn't help...

I would buy a PC "all ready have" download the game from somewhere and play only single player. Not going to buy a console or the game, do not have money to waste...

Yes, don't ever buy CoD on PC.  You are just pissing away your money and the only people playing on PC after a month are those who are cheating.  I switched to console and haven't seen any overt 'hackers' as I did in almost every game on PC.  Activision doesn't care about PC anyways, CoD has been a disaster on PC since MW 1

I wouldn't say everyone...but the point is made.

The "care" for the PC community has improved since it's early days but it's still not what they really care about.

I can understand if you say China, but Korean !!! you *** kidding me !!! I live there and always play with them. This people are insane when its something related to video games. I rarely saw a Korean cheating. Try to stick with them and you can get a lot better instead of accusing them for cheating.
