More Skepticism in Regards to the 150 Health...

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 General Discussion Forum

So the reasoning behind 150 health is supposedly so they can have more control over weapon stats.

However, I have heard the devs are stating there isn't going to be ton of weapons in this game. I think a total of 14 were revealed and we shouldn't expect a ton more. So why would they need that level of control over reduced number of weapons?

Makes me fall back on the idea that these guys are just being lazy again.

So lets see...
1) Base characters are pretty much BO3 without thrusters (virtually no effort there)
2) They tweaked the health to 150 makng it easier to balance the weapon (supposedly) (pretty dam lazy if we aren't going to see a large choice or weaopns)
3) They included specialist which basically copied BO3 and other games (no effort beyond characters abilities build which much was copied from BO3)
4) They added replenshable nades (copied from TF, again, no effort)
5) They changed the scoring system changing the feel of the game is played (just tweaking the scores so again, no effort)
6) Added a game mode, ok, so what (they do this every COD)
7) The change what we can see on the scoreboard (no effort again)

8) Removed a player from the match's (hmmm, less to balance and probably easier on matchmaking, again, LAZY!)
9) They aren't even adding a larger number of weapons but I imagine that is probably cause they are saving that for supply drop system. So maybe we now know where there effort was focused. Who is awaiting the details on how supply drops and micro-trans are being handled?

So in a three year development they managed to change how the game is played simply by tweaking some things that outside of balance and testing likely required little effort. I hope to god they launch with a ton of specialist options and a ton of maps cause I am struggling to understand what they did over that time period during development. No innovation, just a copy and paste and tweaked health and scoring systems. Too me, this looks like the laziest version of a Treyarch installment yet.

The reason to relook at what they did is after claiming they changed the health system for the reason of making weapons more unique I would have thought that meant seeing a larger array of weapons. Maybe there is more to the weapons in regards to attachements that I am unaware and maybe there is a larger array of changes you can customize them with chaning the stats, that might make sense. However, if they change the health for purpose of customizing a smaller number of weaopns, it seems kind of silly and again, seems extremely lazy. WW2 and this title seem t have taken a very lazy approach to their build of the game especially in terms of making it unique. At least WW2 can claim due to the time period it was limited in how creative they could be. BO4 will have greater scrutiny since they have more flexibility in creativity however, I don't see it at all so far.

Because they plan on doing what the current title did but more, slam supply drops down everyone's throats to make a lot of money.

Makes me fall back on the idea that these guys are just being lazy again.

So lets see...
1) Base characters are pretty much BO3 without thrusters (virtually no effort there)

Same character models too look a little closer at them

2) They tweaked the health to 150 makng it easier to balance the weapon (supposedly) (pretty dam lazy if we aren't going to see a large choice or weaopns)

Probably to counter quickscoping meaning it's going to be in this game full force or another theory I got is because of the stupid health syringe idea that they just ain't going to drop for whatever reason.

3) They included specialist which basically copied BO3 and other games (no effort beyond characters abilities build which much was copied from BO3)

Was a terrible idea then and still is a terrible idea now, I absolutely hated getting one shot by a stupid ability that doesn't even hit me! The defensive ones like super speed or where players light up never bothered me though.

4) They added replenshable nades (copied from TF, again, no effort)

Great, grenade spam across the map hoping to get a kill

5) They changed the scoring system changing the feel of the game is played (just tweaking the scores so again, no effort)
6) Added a game mode, ok, so what (they do this every COD)
7) The change what we can see on the scoreboard (no effort again)

Probably trying to trick people into thinking effort was put in good job calling them on it.

8) Removed a player from the match's (hmmm, less to balance and probably easier on matchmaking, again, LAZY!)

Probably because they know the player count for this game will either not be huge to begin with or they know the player count will drop off fast after everyone is tired of this game.

9) They aren't even adding a larger number of weapons but I imagine that is probably cause they are saving that for supply drop system. So maybe we now know where there effort was focused. Who is awaiting the details on how supply drops and micro-trans are being handled?

You nailed it, look how much bs is in WW2 including weapons, variants and PISTOL GRIPS... They are going to go the distance with that this game and probably have most of the weapons locked away in supply drop hell.

So in a three year development (Think 6 month because that's all I'm seeing here) they managed to change how the game is played simply by tweaking some things that outside of balance and testing likely required little effort. I hope to god they launch with a ton of specialist options and a ton of maps cause I am struggling to understand what they did over that time period during development. Yup it is, looks like your glasses came off to how Treyarch really is and people wonder why I call them Gayarch and have overall dislike for them.

Well all you guys can do is hope they pull their heads out of their asses and start making better decisions, I can already tell who this game is going to be catering towards and that's why I say you guys because I've already got it decided that I'm out this year, best of luck to you all.

This entire reply is rubbish lol....
Your hatred for Quickscoping and still lack of understanding how it works shows. Also you still go off killcams? lol
If you hate Treyarch than leave? lol Why do you come here? Do you seek attention?

Also.... The models are the same because Bo4 takes place between Bo2 and BO3..... So yes you have the same models/Specialists.... duh

You keep calling them lazy, and it's honestly kinda irritating.
The raise in the health pool is to better balance the weapons and make them feel more different. They have been balacing weapons around a 100 health pool for the longest time and honestly.... Every call of duty the guns feel the exact same, practically just reskins. But now with a larger health pool they can better balance weapons out to make them feel different... I hope that with the larger health pool the weapons will feel different.

Could you not be a fan boy about this for one second? He called them lazy because that's what he as well as a lot of people are seeing, laziness.

It's ok that they are your favorite developer or that you're really excited about this game but take some of that wool off your eyes for one second and you'll see that in all seriousness they ARE being lazy.

You want to save this series then start calling them out on everything.

But there is nothing here to suggest laziness....
It's a logical approach to what they wanted to do, they made the game setting between Bo2 and Bo3. They are using the same models for the specialists which makes sense to me, and gives me a decent idea of their story and maybe we will see how Prophet lost his eyes and *****. Like there is a lot to do here and this band wagoning for calling out Treyarch on laziness needs to stop.... It's actually Pathetic, I for the most part and pretty on board with Murk most of the time but every post is just about lazy this and lazy that when I sit back and I look at what they are creating here I see a good game coming out. I see plenty of changes and tweaks that make the game feel different but still remains Call of Duty...
There is far to many assumptions and I think this needs to stop, *****. lol
Like if Overwatch brought out a Overwatch 2 do you think they would catch flak for adding Winston again? Probably not because it makes sense in the overall story that they are attempting to create.

I would guess that we are getting these old specialists back and we are going to get a lot of new ones.
What do you want them to do? Bring a specialist into Bo4 that has the same kit as one from Bo3 but just reskinned and than just get called out for "You just copied a kit and gave it a reskin blah blah blah" what they are doing makes sense.......

Im also not a fanboy of Treyarch, I only liked one of their games (bo2). I just believe in taking a more detailed look at what they are doing and thinking about how it will work over a 3 year stretch

Could care less if you think it is irritating. This franchise loves to over hype everything and provide cryptic resopnses to the community. With that type of marketing they are going have to deal with the highly skeptical nature of those of us that want answers about a lot of different things especially after the BS that happened with WW2 and lack of content in that game at launch for traditional MP.

At first it makes sense but not when they aren't going to limited amount of weapons in this game, I don't see the point as much unless they have intentions of providing a ton of unique experiences with the weapons. From what I understand Vondy said there aren't going to be a lot of weapons in this game although I don't know what that means. So yes, tweaking stats of certain aspects of the game with limited content is concerning and the laziness behind it is pretty evident. Let them prove me wrong but basically the concept of "Forget Everything You Know" is based off of stat tweaking between health, score and weapon mechanics. Everything is pretty much a copy and paste of BO3 with some uncreative additions from other games.

I doubt the guns will feel different although the overall engagement will likely feel different.

Honestly I have to say first I liked what I saw at reveal....

But now, after I saw more videos on youtube, I guess what have they done the last 3 years !? Sure it takes time to come up with such ideas in 3 years like...

...why not just taking the specialists from BO3 and remove jumping? Wow great idea we use this.

or

... another one came up with that idea "Oh why do we not change the soldier count who can play together from 6 vs. 6 to 5 vs. 5...wow great idea...sure took me 3 years to get onto this.

or

...another one was dying to fast and was coming onto this, why not changing the health from 100 to 150? Wow great idea, we use this...sure took me 3 years to get onto this.

or

...you see what "they" use for to get new nades? Yea I see it, why not copy and paste it into our new game and sell it for a new inovation to the community.

or

...have to stop now. Think everyone sees where I´m coming from with this...

Or your scrub ass just complaining about other peoples comments who are actually discussing the game. Good old stonewall being the dbag we all remember from the early WW2 forum and ther early IW forums. Can't wait to hear your squeals when everyone goes after QSing again, LOL!
