Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Support

Highlighted

Guys, I have just ordered the Black Ops 4 PS4 Slim bundle with 500 million limited edition extra controller. I heard about the colossal 50 gb day 1 patch. If I kept my PS4 not connected to Internet, can I play offline splitscreen with my cousin without downloading that huge patch? I am yet to buy PS Plus subscription. PLEASE ANSWER GUYS 🤘 Please answer the below questions too asap:

  1. Can I download that patch without PS PLUS? And tell me the exact size of day 1 patch please?

  2. Also, let's say I download the patch and purchase PS Plus, all the online updates alone will take how many GBs? Thank you in advance guys!

Before beginning any game installation, it is highly recommended that you check for and install any available console updates. Follow the steps below to manually check for updates. Be sure to allow any updates to install completely before beginning your game installation.

To check for available updates on PlayStation 4:

  1. Select the Settings menu from the PlayStation 4 home screen.
  2. Select System Software Update.
  3. Install any available updates.
  4. Follow the onscreen steps to complete the update

Before playing for the first time, players will need to download and install a day one update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. This update must be installed completely in order to access Multiplayer, Zombies, and Specialist Headquarters. Blackout is fully playable once installation is about 30% complete (approximately 16-20 GB).

For an optimized download experience, players should have 112 GB of free hard drive space – note that this is not the size of the download, it is the amount of space required to complete the installation process. The final installation footprint will be approximately 55 GB. In order to play Blackout before the full installation is complete, select "Update to Latest Version" when the prompt appears.

The day one update package is roughly 50 GB. Download speeds may vary based on region, platform, connection type, and the speed of your internet connection

and in regards to your PS plus subscription i know Sony used to do 48hour free trials (not sure if they still do)

have a look in Ps Store on your console it may offer you a 2 day trial to experience PS Plus

hope this reply helps you out

Dude, thanks alot, you have no idea how much of a help you have been to me so far.

Btw, one more question, after the day 1 patch of 55 GB is complete, how much GB will it take to download all the ONLINE UPDATES alone if I dowload them this weekend?

I have a data cap of 90 GB per month and I am going to increase it to 150 GB this weekend Smiley Happy

Once again thank you!

Lets say each update is 10 GB and there are 6 updates like that, so the total will be 60 GB or will it be compressed to like 20-30 GB?

I may be wrong but I think it will just prompt you to download the latest update and game isn't too bad for updates every few months so your data cap should be ok but keep an eye on it just to be safe.
