Hardwired buff idea:

I love using the hardwired perk in Domination, especially against teams that love throwing EMP grenades all over the place. But most of the time Toughness is just better in most respects, especially when playing on not a prestine server.

What about this buff: Keep the same base effect, but add an emp resistance to kill streaks you deploy.

For example things like the guardian and sentry gun and dragonfire would take 2 emp grenades instead of just one. The Agr would take 3 and be severely damaged after two.

I feel like this would add to the longevity of your equipment killstreaks but still rendering them vulnerable to people using two emp grenades, which most people do. It would also force someone to focus all of thier emp grenades to one point that life instead of being able to cover a wide area with them, taking out everything in the process.

Another related idea is just nerf emp grenades to not be omni-directional (goes through walls). In modernwarfare 3 they were perfect, big radius of effect but cover allowed you to avoid them.

That sounds like a good idea, I don't know if they'd implement that now though. I'd more than likely use Hardwired a lot more though if they did.

I like the idea, but leave the Tac. Insertions unaffected by the perk (since it could potentially help boosting kids).

Yeah it would only effect equipment earned through scorestreaks.

Do I get a buff to my Lodestars?  I think they should have 10 flares.  And no the EMP grenade was not perfect in MW3, it was garbage.

If one perk affects protecting scorestreaks then I don't see why it can't be extended elsewhere.  I don't know which Youtube Hero thought of thie idea that Hard Wired should protect your scorestreaks from an EMP grenade because it's a daft concept.  It would possibly be too good and people will litter maps with Guardians and Sentry Guns on Hijacked and do the worm and be harder to counter.  Only one perk since COD4 has directly affected the power of scorestreaks and it should remain that way.

Alternatively I could have said that Cold Blooded makes you appear invisible on player targeting systems rather than just removing the diamond on you.  That would make a lot of Lodestar/VTOL users moan.

Apples and oranges, friend. Guardians/Sentry Guns/AGRs can all be shot or blown up just like Lodestars/VTOLS/etc. however they are vulnerable to a spamable, scavengable EMP grenade which can destroy multiple scorestreaks with a single grenade through walls. There was no need for EMP grenades to destroy sentry guns in past CODs, I don't see how it would "possibly be too good" to add a counter to them. You could even change cold-blooded to make the player undetectable by sentry guns if you're worried about the power of them

Oh yeah, you want to shoot at an AGR?  The only way to do that is to run with an LMG with FMJ from an angle where it can't see you.  In MW3 I had to use Claymores to entice an Assault Drone into a hallway to get it blown up if I wasn't running a Blind Eye Pro LMG class.  Chances are you'll die otherwise having taken out some 15% damage.  The AGR gets taken out with one C4 though.  If you weaken EMP grenades, and it takes two to destroy an AGR, then people like me will spam C4s instead.  Which would you rather face?

EMP grenades are supposed to work through walls, that's how electromagnetic radition works.  How do you think you can receieve calls on your cell/mobile phone whilst indoors?  I don't mind a Faraday Cage, because that's what you're suggesting, but it would have to cost a fair amount on the CaC system so perhaps something for the future.  The only reason is that it wasn't needed to use an EMP grenade in the past is that the Sentry Guns were outclassed by alternatives because they were airdropped and Blind Eye/Ghost users could run up to them and just knife them.  At least now people have to equip EMP grenades to take them out.

A full health AGR already takes two EMP grenades to destroy it.
