Edit: According to Amazon store the map is located in China.
I have this feeling its in Japan. After all Japanese had huge part on the story but were then forgotten after Shi No Numa.
Its pretty obvious that Die Rise name is tweak from High Rise. You can see the high-rise buildings on the back and if you look closely they have those vertical light billboards on side of the buildings that are very common in Asia. And they do have Asian text on them.
Another thing we can see is soldier zombies and they could very possibly be Japanese troops.
Then there is that red "blood stripe" effects in the side of the image. Reminds you of anything?
Japanese imperial army.
EDIT: Now you can clearly see the billboards have Asian text! Anyone know Japanese?
I have sharpened the image so you can see text in the light billboards more clearly from this image:

Very good catch, and nice theory. I suppose we'll just have to wait until the 29th to see, but I do like the idea of the map being based in an urban area of japan.
Yeah it would be cool to have tight areas inside some high-rise. But maybe you get in more than just one building and on the streets. Also zipline from one roof to the next would be cool.
You might be right. See the lit up signs? And the buildings do look foreign...
I'd of said it was linked to Der Riese rather than a MW2 map, this is Treyarch remember.
Just because its high-rise doesn't mean its anyway linked to MW2 map High Rise other than it takes place in multi-storey building(s).
When i translate "die rise" in german, because ricktofen is in control of the zombies.
it says "the rise" that is very weird and i just thought of it because i know ricktofen is german and that stuff and yeah.....
Die means the article the used in front of word when talked about woman if I'm not wrong. And Rise is not German word.
Google translate is also the worst translator out there .
I highly doubt this is German name like previous ones:
Nacht Der Untoten = Night of the Undead
Verruckt = Crazy
Der Riese = The Giant
Kino Der Toten = Theater of the Dead
Der, Die , and Das all mean the. Der= masculan Die= feminine Das=neuter this doesn't mean anything though because, for example it is die Ecke= the corner, is a corner a woman , no, it's just how their language works.
