Assault Rifles:

AAC Honey Badger - 0:57(Reveal):

Country: U.S.A.

Manufacturer: AAC

Cartridge: .300 ACC Blackout

Fire Rate: 750 rpm

Fire Mode: Fully Automatic

Damage: High

Range: High

Recoil: Medium

Magazine Size: 30 Rounds

The AAC Blackout PDW, or "Honey Badger", is a personal defense weapon based around a lightweight and stealthy full-power M4 platform. The Badger has a retractable stock and an integrated suppressor yet packs the .300 Blackout as opposed to a M4's .223(5.56x45mm). The Badger has a small profile but packs the raw stopping power of the .300 Blackout. This allows the Badger to operate in CQB environments, where an smg would be preferred, as well as mid/long-range engagements, where an assault rifle would be preferred. This niche between the classes makes the Badger a very versatile weapon.

AK47 - 1:02(Reveal)

Country: Russia

Manufacturer: Izhmash

Cartridge: 7.62x39mm

Fire Rate: 600 rpm

Fire Mode: Fully Automatic

Damage: High

Range: High

Recoil: Medium-High

Magazine Size: 30 Rounds

The AK-47 is a russian assault rifle chambered in 7.62x39. It is extremely well-known by many for its durability, reliability, and raw stopping power at the expense of some serious recoil. The variant in-game is unclear, however, and the in-game models are still using the MW3 AK model. This does not lead to the AK-47 not being in the game, seeing as it has been in every IW iteration and the setting of the game practically demands its presence.

MTAR-21 - 1:03(BtS)

Manufacturer: IMI

Cartridge: 5.56x45mm NATO

Magazine Size: 30 Rounds

The MTAR (Micro Tavor Assault Rifle), is a bullpup assault rifle made by Israel Military Industries. It is chambered in the 5.56x45mm NATO round and uses 30-round STANAG magazines. The MTAR-21 is ambidextrous and shooter-friendly, having ejection ports on both sides of the rifle to be easily reconfigured for either hand. The receiver is made of reinforced plastic and is waterproof and lightweight, making the rifle more suited to fast urban combat. It is similar to the TAR-21, its "bigger brother", although it is scaled-down and has different aesthetic features such as the handguard. It is currently phasing out the TAR-21 as the standard issued weapon of the Israeli infantry.

FN FAL - 2:01 and 2:28(BtS)

Country: Belgium

Manufacturer: FN Herstal

Cartridge: 7.62x51mm

Fire Rate: 650 rpm

Fire Mode: Fully Automatic

Damage: High

Range: High

Recoil: Medium

Magazine Size: 20 Rounds

The FN FAL  is a Belgian Battle rifle manufactured by FN Herstal. The FAL is a self-loading battle rifle firing the full-power 7.62 NATO round. The FN FAL in-game features a rail system. Usually most associate the FAL as being a semi-automatic weapon because that is how it's been in previous games. Despite its real-life version having a select-fire ability, the FAL in Ghosts appears to be fully automatic; either they're changing it up this time around or a fire selector or modifier will be implemented.

The ARX-160 is an Italian assault rifle designed for the Future Soldier program in Italy. It is chambered in the 5.56x45mm NATO and takes STANAG magazines. It features a monolithic upper rail and a folding stock. The ARX-160 also is built with polymer upper and lower recievers, making this rifle very lightweight.

Country: United States

Manufacturer: KRISS

Cartridge: .45 ACP

Fire Rate: 1000 rpm

Fire Mode: Fully Automatic

Damage: Low

Range: Low

Recoil: Low

Magazine Size: 30 Rounds

The Vector is a submachine gun developed by Kriss. It uses an asymmetrical recoil and in-line design to reduce recoil and muzzle climb, making it an extremely fast-firing yet accurate SMG. This version is similar to the same as the Modern Warfare 2 version as it has a foldable stock, and a similar receiver, if not the same. It also has a black and tan finish, like the Modern Warfare 2 model.

UMP45 - 2:45(BtS)

Country: Germany

Range: Medium

Recoil: Medium

Magazine Size: 25 Rounds

The UMP45(Universal Machine Pistol, .45) is a submachine gun chambered in .45 ACP. It was designed to be the "universal smg", replacing the MP5. Although failing to replace, it is is still widely popular with many forces around the world. It features a polymer construction and folding stock, making it ideal for CQB.

Shotguns:

Sniper Rifles:

Launchers / Special Weapons:

APS - 0:33(BtS):

Country: Russia

Manufacturer: Tula Arms Plant

Cartridge: 5.66x39mm MPS

Rate of Fire: 600 RPM

Fire Mode: Fully Automatic

Damage: Medium

Range: Low

Recoil: Medium

Magazine Size: 26 Rounds

The APS is a rifle designed to shoot underwater. Its neccesity spawned from the U.S.S.R.'s need to fight against U.S. "frogmen" in the Cold War. The APS fires a steel-bolt round from its somewhat bulky magazine. Its barrel is not rifled, so firing outside of the water will greatly decrease accuracy. It is unknown if this weapon will be avaliable for multiplayer; educated guessing says it will not.

FN40GL - 4:04 aand 4:07 (BtS)

Manufacturer: FN Herstal

Cartridge: 40mm LV

Rate of Fire: N/A

Fire Mode: Single-Shot

Damage: Very High

Range: Medium-High

Recoil: Low

Magazine Size: 1 Round

The FN40GL is a grenade launcher designed (but not limited to) the SCAR platform. It is designed after the F200's GL1, and uses the same system the M204 does. The FN40GL's loading chamber swivels from side to side as opposed to the M203's linear sliding chamber, allowing longer shells to be used.

The FAL is a Treyarch gun, I don't think it was in any IW game. Even still, I think the FAL in Black Ops and Black Ops II was the worst semi-auto AR ever. The Mk14 was the best

The FAL is not owned by Treyarch or Infinity Ward, it's a real weapon. That being said, remember MW2 had the FAL. The "FN" simply stands for the company. So IW has used the FAL, and since the game's focus is current weapons in a future setting, weapons like the AK47 and FAL fit the bill quite nicely. The weapon shown is a FAL.

My info comes from my knowledge of firearms and my ability to identify them based on only pictures. I know when someone says that it's not always the most credible answer, but you'll have to trust me, because I'm not just guessing, I know my stuff.

Right. The FN FAL was a Belgium assault rifle based off of the MP44 from WW2 (Germany). The Brits and the Argentineans used it in the Falklands war (Thank you Tales of the Gun).

It was not in WWII, it was designed during the late days of WWII and shortly after, designed to be a fully automatic assault rifle that fired an intermediate cartridge, however NATO announced that the 7.62x51mm would be the standard rifle cartridge thus causing FN to redesign the rifle to fire said cartridge.
