First of all, not arguing, just responding. I see you have responded to a few comments, which is fantastic. But all we're asking for is an option, a choice to turn off or even lower the music. It is not about whether players are good or bad, or about sound whores, it's about choice. Now that I remember more, I remember that song playing over and over on a loop while waiting in the lobbies, or fixing classes on the menu. The worse was when I would end up in a dead lobby and the song actually ended but picked up immediately.

Not everybody's experiences and preferences are the same, not all will match mine or yours, as seen by your comments. Not everybody plays on XBox360 or PC, where one is able to adjust game volume and chat volume separately on their console or computer (can't on PS3). Not everybody is playing with headsets sound whoring, some use their tv or even separate speakers, which all have completely different sound levels. It's about having choice, "not really", imagine not having the choice to change your controller scheme, not having personal key bindings options, or having only off/on forced inverted control upon you, not having the colorblind feature, so on and on. As I and another user mentioned, all the Treyarch side of CoD games have this music option. It's about having the option for the best possible gaming experience. Of course, just one of many many possible fixes, but one of the simplest.

I have played games that did not have those choices and did not fell any loss for it either. So it made no difference to me. But then again I have been playing games for 30+ years as far back as the first game consoles that ever came out and the very first pc games. Where such an option was not even considered or needed.

The most who seem to complain about are the ones that seem to need it off to play well.. in other words sound whores. A person using their eyes and watching and not just waiting for an sound to alter them seldom has any problems with the music. Which is why I dont think it is really ever needed. I loved when 3arc had the loud train on wmd and the missile firing on silo. I knew I could move freely with out someone trying to hide in a corner with headphones trying to listen for me coming.

The end game music is to add drama and excitement to make it harder to just hide and wait and listen. It is there for a reason just the same as why music gets louder in the action scenes of a movie or television show right before the big scene happens.

Speak for yourself, I played games since the NES, and having the option to turn off music completely is always a good option to have for people that prefer it that way.   And it isn't much to ask considering lots of games with even indie level budgets provide that option.  More options is better than less options.

See you are speaking from a closed minded perspective.   If ingame music bothered you and you felt the gameplay and atmosphere would be better with an option to turn off music,  you would agree that option is important and should be implemented as a standard option.

The end game music is to add drama and excitement to make it harder to just hide and wait and listen. It is there for a reason just the same as why music gets louder in the action scenes of a movie or television show right before the big scene happens.

People have different tastes in how they want COD to sound and feel.       Call of Duty, especially the multiplayer, is not a movie or television show,  there are a lot of fans that want COD audio world to feel more realistic and lifelike, and music gets in the way of that.   The average soldier isn't listening to music while in combat,  that's childish and not practical.

That's why having the OPTION to turn off music, would make it a win/win situation for both kinds of players (they want it on, they can keep it on, want the music off, turn the music off in options) , instead of force feeding the music to people that don't want it.

more options is not always better than less options. that is your opinion and not a fact.

Thing is the ingame music does not bother me and never has nor ever will. Because I use my eyes and look around instead of needing sounds to tell me when to do things.

CoD the MP is a drama fest even if you don't believe so. That is why they added in the kill cam, for that extra drama it creates for the watcher and a tid bit of info on how they died. This game is not meant to be realistic or practical in all things. You want that go play Arma 3. This is an arcade shooter not a simulation shooter. And in arcade shooters is is about the drama and the noise and the music at the high points; like near the end of the match.

The kill cam... is in the game... for drama.

That is funny stuff.

That's my opinion but it should be yours ;-),

It is Ran. the kill cam is the action or drama scene shown in most action movies/tv-shows where the hero kills the bad guy. Same as the final cam. It is not just about alerting the player how they died by who with what from where. pretty much teh game could do with out and not have any issues if it was removed. HC players dont have it, nor do they need it.

it is basically just a filler in core for those 3 seconds before you respawn and not really needed at all.

Turning off the kill cam would reduce lag and glitches, last night played a few high speed knife only matches in random lobbies, anytime I'd get killed by a point streak that had a HUD my screen would still have the color scheme of their HUD kinda like the night vision glitch for the first 2 seconds. I like the cam but if they really want to make this a tournaments quality game they need to add all the options they can to get the lag out of the game.

the kill cam does not add in lag to game play ever, nor would turning it off reduce in glitches in the game. And no they do not need to add as many options as the players can come up with just because some people think so.

Yeah now that I think about it, the kill cam doesn't add much noticeable lag on the xbox, gameplay is a lot smoother there all around. Since they develop for xbox then port to PS3 that could be one reason for a more stable kill cam on that console, even the replays appear to match perfectly to exactly what happened, but on the PS3 the lag is tremendous, as are the glitches, every single time I re-spawn the psychedelic colors from the enemies kill cam cross over to my screen for the 1st few seconds of re-spawn. Passing the HUD night-vision color permanently to your screen is a known glitch you can do for both consoles though, they even had to patch it, so I don't know how you missed it. Also there is often a small period of delay (maybe 150 ms) when re-spawn where you can't move yet but you can be killed, this depends on who got host I guess.

The pay to play system of xbox has less players online at any given time than the PS3, also the pay for gold system on xbox helps keeps the lowest income players out of the game, you know the ones that can only afford to play using their friend's shared wifi hotspot off a 3g 1 bar phone with a partially dead battery, so there tends to be a lot more lag issues on the PS3 but really it's probably a result of the player pool differences between the 2 consoles.

Anyway, it's the sound features we're talking about here. So the player pool does play in here too, PS3 players have cheap used $5 bluetooth static filled headsets and the xbox headset was a fail from the beginning, analog has awful static all day plus wires and even the bluetooth one covers your ear which you need to hear the game. So more in-game options with sound are good especially if it helps us mute all those foul language players.

Also, I don't need it, but a lot of people have cheap tv's with no bass, voice clarity, etc. It would be nice if they had more sound equalizer settings for those low budget players.

But I'm a computer programmer, and know these kinds of changes only take like half a day to add, I think maybe even this much work is too much to expect from their team. From 80 plus errors I've reported the fastest priority fixes are cheats and glitches, that have little to do with giving us more in game options.

Ya know sometimes I forget that some that reply in this section may be on that Other console...

Sorry to hear if the kill cam causes issues like that on the PS version on the Xbox it never does.
