ddos/ip flooding/host booting in "clan wars"

sorry if this topic has already been discussed.

anyone that plays league in black ops 2 knows it's plague with people that ddos/ip flood/host boot, with ghost's new addition of the clan wars mode; is infinity ward doing anything to prevent players from getting hit offline? is there even anything they can do to prevent this?

seeing how clan wars will be all about the "wins", you'll get players that will do anything to win and that includes hitting people offline like they do in game battles and league play in black ops 2.

Dedicated servers have only been announced on xbone, what about PS3/PS4/360 versions?

If only it were that simple. VOIP on Xbox Live is P2P. They'll pull your IP from that and then POP.

People can blame Activision all they want, but those are people that simply do not understand.

In computing, a denial-of-service attack (DoS attack) or distributed denial-of-service attack (DDoS attack) is an attempt to make a machine or network resource unavailable to its intended users. Although the means to carry out, motives for, and targets of a DoS attack may vary, it generally consists of efforts to temporarily or indefinitely interrupt or suspend services of a host connected to the Internet.

Let me put it like this, it's kind of when someone uses something to lag your internet to the point of without use for x amount of time. For example, if you have a lot of large files such as movies and pictures and music on your computer, your computer will start to lag. If you have alot of connections coming in at one time trying to connect through your internet, then it will start to lagg. The more you send, the more it will lag. If you send a certain amount, it'll be to the point where you are booted offline and can't get back online until the effects have worn off. So, for example, if they send a huge mass of packets (Things they send to lagg your internet) and send x amount of packets to keep you offline for one day, you're internet will be receiving to many packets and will shut off for one day or more depending on the amount sent. The best way to detect if you're being attacked is if you randomly start lagging and things take a long time to respond or become unresponsive. If this happens, I recommend just unplugging your router and plugging it back in because those packets will have no where to go then.
