Nah im no panic knifer but I do agree with you. That is why a perk would be fair in this instance.

I just want them to remove all of the lunge/lock-on of the knife.

Yes.  There should NOT be a knife animation!  Tired of getting panic knifed while putting 3,4,5 rds into someone.

i'd like the option to put it on the d-pad myself, god knows why you can't just set the controller up how you damn well want in this day and age.

I do believe that a Panic Knife Perk is the solution that would fix the insane reach and knee jerk reaction that knifing has become and level the playing field for gamers who use a Tactical setup on there controller.

No, running a perk for this is pointless, knifing is knifing! You get close to someone else either you knife them or they knife you its very simple, dont request things to get complicated.

Dropshot and jumpshots are crucial for me to winning gun fights.

no way in hell you are gonna need a fucking perk to do that.

Bless u lmao!

I love when people complain about "panic knifing" when they themselves most likely did it themselves multiple times and were thankful it was there or else they would've died. As usual, it's "nerf everyone else, but not me".

There's really no fair shake in penalizing non tactical layout players just because someone else wants to use tactical layout. Not to mention that not all knifing is a result of "panic knifing"...so there's no reason to gimp everyone to cater to the individual. And then the most important issue, it's virtually impossible to really know when it's really a "knee jerk" reaction any more than it's possible to be sure of this week's winning powerball numbers.

the term "panic knifing" has always been curious to me, players react quickly some kill some miss and die because another player surprised them, or they surprised each other. The reality is who is quicker and more accurate will win the encounter and move on or get killed by a teammate.
