Best CoD You've played

Call of Duty Ghosts Wii U

For starters, BO has lower damage/higher recoil guns which means higher emphasis on gun skill instead of reaction time, higher streak requirements, no support/specialist/deathstreak handjobs, kills from computer streaks don't count as a kill towards your streak, "hidden" OP guns like the FAL/G11 for good players, better overall weapon/perk balance, ETC.

There's more but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

I agree with you. Problem is...all of those things aside, a game is nothing if I lag. MW2/MW3 no lag. BO1/BO2, lag. That's why I chose what I did.

Its crazy, but with the lag shooting in reflex, lag in bo1 and hit and miss lag in MW3, my kdr was the exact same in all 3. A steady 1.56. But because of the lag in bo2 and ghosts being totally different, I can't even get anywhere near that, regardless of kill streaks or what ever. I guess no one will understand, but that's the reason I believe something is badly wrong with the new console and that's why I complain so much more than ever before..

My KDR in MW2 and MW3 was around 2.9. BO1 and BO2 was a 1.3. The reason I know it's lag is because it's super inconsistent. With the MW's, I was very consistent from match to match. BO2 was a disaster and the lag/wiimote was a cluster. With Ghosts it's inconsistent as hell. I seriously went from 28-0 on Prison Break to 2-18...same players/lobby...same map (because the map rotation sucks at times). Explain THAT to me. So right now, I pretty much don't give a sh!t about KDR - I just try to have more fun and do the objectives. I could be like some people who use the same gun on every map until the next COD comes out, which would obviously boost my KDR quite a bit. But then I'd be bored as hell.

Here's how I look at KDR: if it can't get you laid or a raise at work...who the hell cares about it.

MW3 lagged for people too and MW2 gave a HUGE HUGE advantage to people with low ping. No such thing as a COD with perfect connection.

Oh definitely. I just don't like connection getting worse when everything else on my end got way better. And I know for you and I...we have polar opposite connection experiences with games. I just wish the matchmaking and lag comp was better for everyone so the playing field was more level (stop throwing me in with people in other countries!). Perhaps that won't get better until we have more people playing.

W@W was my first, and I want to say my favourite, but I actually really enjoyed BO2. Dont get me wrong, I loved BO1, especially the Campaign and Zombies, but I felt like something was missing. Screw it, its a 3-way tie. W@W for the memories, BO1 for the Campaign and Zombies and BO2 for the Multiplayer

Tough call.   I'd say probably Black Ops 2 after all the hotfixes corrected the lag for me, but it's not a lock for first place.  That campaign was by far the best in my opinion.  The HD graphics were a plus as well but that's not a huge factor.  The MP was great, the balance was good, but there were SOOOOOO many headglitching spots for those target finders.  Also the controls were not the best we've seen on Nintendo consoles.  And when it did lag, like when I was in a party, it was terrible.  TDM scoring needed to be changed.  125 or 150.  I didn't care.  Either would have been an improvement.

Black Ops 1 would probably be up there if it didn't lag so bad for me.  And the framerate drops (regardless if it was because of hosting or just the game engine chugging) really got on my nerves.  I didn't think it was the most balanced game in the series either.  I did like it.  I probably should have gone back and played it more after I got a better internet connection.  It also wasn't as enjoyable because for some stupid reason, instead of buying headphones, I just played with the volume turned down so I didn't wake up my wife.  It wasn't bad, and if it didn't lag so bad then I probably would have liked it more, but hey, lag makes you hate things.  As I mentioned once on a podcast, if it didn't have lag, I would put it above MW3.

MW3 was great in my opinion.  The campaign was ok, but all the crazy cinematics and explosion at least made it fun and exciting to watch.  It was addictive in a way.  I liked playing it.

Now for MP:  I bought headphones for this one and "Footsteps" was born (see what I did there Bobby?) I also upgraded my internet for this one....Other than akimbo the balance was fine in my opinion.  I never felt like I lost a gunfight because the other guy had a certain gun (unless it was akimbo...).  I did really well with everything I used.  I didn't try the LMGs much so I can't speak for them as I don't remember them well, but overall I thought the balance was fine (Type 95 needed a nerf, but hardly anyone used it. Maybe it got nerfed.  Maybe I changed my mind.  I remember thinking at one time that it was OP though).  It ran smooth.  The hit detection was great.  Take out all the hackers and it would have been a definite number one.  Hackers ruined it though.  The game was fine, but they ruined the experience.  I know some people didn't think it was balanced even without akimbo, and didn't like it for other reasons, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.  Good hit detection, steady framerate, and a lack of lag go a long way when it comes to making me happy with an FPS.  I don't know why, but specialist, lethal support streaks, and death streaks didn't bother me much.  Having your streak ended by dead man's head or that bomber really made some people rage.  I'm not sure why it doesn't bother me much, but not having lag makes everything easier to put up with so I guess that's it.

Ghosts is growing on me.  I haven't had much of an urge to play the campaign.  It's just boring.  Seems like a huge step back after Black Ops 2.  They did so much with that game as far as innovation (well, in terms of COD it was innovative) in both the MP and the campaign.  in Ghosts you're back to running down narrow paths and shooting enemies that are just popping out from behind cover.  And still collecting items that are only there to make you run around looking for them and have no impact on the story.  I can't believe they went back to that crap.  It has some cool sequences but it's all for show.  Aim assist seems strong in the campaign as well.  So much so that I made sure I turned it off as it was far too easy to just ADS and shoot enemies.

The MP in Ghosts is growing on me now that the lag is better.  It's real close to being up to par with Black Ops 2, can't touch MW3 yet, but overall it runs pretty good.  I can play about 10 matches before I get a laggy one.  I like the big maps.  I like that you have to play more strategically and be careful instead of just running around spraying with a lag shield.  I hate what few small maps there are for that reason.  I like that it takes more strategy.  The Wii remote controls are just great.  Amazing.  They only made 3 changes between this game and Blops 2, but those three changes made all the difference in the world.  Best wii remote controls so far.  Balance seems ok so far other than the fact that SMGs get outgunned by pretty much everything.  Or at least it feels that way.  Hit detection is great.  The framerate stutters, but not often or drastically enough to make me hate it.  Sovereign can be bad at times.  Overall though it's not terrible.

So which is the best?  I'm going to leave the campaign out of this ranking:  Two months ago I would have said Black Ops 2 with MW3 being a very close second.  Now, Ghosts is competing with those two.  Too early to tell if it's better.  It's definitely not bad.  As it is though Black Ops 2 is number one.

....The above descriptions are just my opinion and/or my game experiences.
