Does Xbox One need to be required with HDMI? Just curious about it because My HDTV doesnt have HDMI plug but component cables?
its only got an hdmi out no component
you can buy a hdmi to component cable for a few pounds/dollars off the net although i cant tell you what the quality is like on screen
It isn't bad. Though lag from converting is noticeable to me.
The x1 if I get one will probably by a glorified dvd player for me really. only games that will be played on it will be sp games not mp games because of how the hdmi input on my tv is so f'ed up when I try and use the 360 with it causing the tv to freeze. So not buying a new tv either just for the console.
If you can't afford to buy an HDTV then go buy a computer monitor that has an HDMI input. You can have one for less than $150 tax included.
Or you get a HDMI->Component converter.
Which is what I will be doing since the hdmi on my hdtv does not work correctly and I am not going to go spend money on a new tv just for a console to work on it.
This is off topic but speaking of HDMI Converters, I just ordered one a few days ago on Amazon. I plan to build an Ambilight System behind my Eyefinity setup and I needed the HDMI converter so I can wire one of my console output to my PC. My PC will then process the video coming in and do the ambilight behind my three monitors.
If all goes well, my gaming setup will look something like this and I will play Ghosts on my center monitor.
A little overboard just for gaming really. But then again people do like to go overboard for some of the sillyest of reasons nowdays.
Do yourself a favour mate and find a way to obtain a High Def TV. Trust me on this
How does one play video games without a HDTV....
