Really? In which part of the multiverse is this?

The same multiverse where having skill and map awareness is a form of cheating I think. Could be wrong on that one.

Compared to Bo3 not really, maybe at first but IW does a good job fixing broken weapons at least in multiplayer.

They nerfed the NV4, buffed the Type 2 to make it superior at literally all ranges to even the pre-nerf NV4, and they made the previously balanced VPR the most imbalanced base weapon since the FAMAUG in BO1.

Whichbroken weapons have they done a good job of fixing exactly?

Why do you even think the DLC weapons are too OP? Given that your thread is nothing more than a general statement in the title, we'll have to start with a general overview of each of those weapons:

  1. R-VN: There are better assault rifles to use given that the TTK is long on that weapon due to it's 2 round burst fire firing mode.
  2. UDM: While this is a decent sidarm choice no matter if you go for the auto firing prototypes or the Stalker's sniper conversion, other weapons outclass it.
  3. VPR: While the fire rate is nice on this SMG(firres 2 bullets at once) and will shread up close, it isn't wise to use the VPR at longer ranges.
  4. X-Eon: This weapon is alright and can be useful at close due to the tight hip fire spread, there are better choices to use such as the NV4 and KBAR-32.
  5. Auger: A high recoil LMG that has a fast fire rate while the Fury prototype grants akimbo Augers that are effective only at close ranges. The Mauler Mammoth is still the go to LMG choice of the community.
  6. Trencher: An SMG with assault rifle handeling and longer reloading times. The Blitzkreg prototype grants a grenade launcher attachment.
  7. Axe: This is nothing more than an axe used for slashing your enemies with the lone prototype that is avalaible allowing it to be thrown as if it was a throwing knife while granting a small bonus to your movement speed.

Outside of the VPR's dominance at close range, none of the DLC weapons can be considered OP and each of these were designed for a specific playstyle.

I do have to correct you on the axe as I got it a couple days ago in a common supply drop (yes common).

This is no standard melee weapon. It puts anything from Bo3 to shame. The range is insane, I mean you can melee people that seem way too far away. Throwing is also not like the tomahawk or throwing knife. It actually takes your aim assist into account and it's MUCH easier to hit someone.. All the YouTube videos claiming clutch and all this, naw it's easy to use. I go positive with it.

Yesterday I even managed to get a quad feed by hitting 3 people coming out of spawn then throwing my axe at 4th.. and I'm not that good either.. It's just very easy to use.

With that said it's still balanced because other weapons kill so fast and your opponent has the ability to jump into the air. Plus, throwing the axe means you have to pick it back up which often times is when I die (although I have got some awesome fist kills too in these moments).

So your rights it's not OP but it's not your average melee weapon either I would put it very close to the ripper specialist in Bo3.

Personally I still think the VPR needs a nerf. It's still the best SMG as well as having good range, movement speed fire rate and controllable recoil.

The X-Eon is also bordering OP imo as well. For those that say it has a lot of recoil is beyond me. It also fires a lot faster than the NV4 and has similar damage.

The rest of the DLC weapons are fine minus the RV-N which needs a slight buff, possibly increase the fire rate.

Actually, I was thinking of making a new discusion demanding that the xeon be nerfed with better damage and at least a 50 round mag! Smiley Wink

VPR is still pretty powerful even at medium range, but that's it. Trencher is a good cross between an SMG and AR, and it was balanced pretty well. X-Eon is basically an NV4 built more for close range while dropping off at long range. VPR is the only DLC weapon that has a 100% clear advantage over all other weapons in its class, but that's it.
