If this is true I will be one very happy person. Here's the exact words from a Raven Dev. From an Ausgamers interview,
AusGamers: Is there ever a conversation to just dump aim-assist?
Eric: [laughs] There’s always conversations like that. One of the things we’ve done is that quick-scoping is not in the game. And that was a conscious choice, it’s something that we’ve removed, and I think that will make a lot of people happy. I know that’s something that always gets brought up as a questionable thing that always comes back to aim-assist.
But yeah, there’s things we try throughout the whole development, and it really comes down to iterating and playtesting, and just getting feedback and keep going with that. So there’s always a question about things.
And the rage will be delicious to read as the angsty QS'r finally get removed from the game..
Kids shouldn't be playing this anyway. They got BO2, now the adults in the room can what they believe CoD has always been and where we think it should be going. I'm impressed with what I've seen so far.
It depends on what people consider quickscoping. Is black scoping gone or is the ADS completely ruined again like in BO? I understand that they are at the beta stage but I don't think the game will change much from Gamescom to release in terms of quickscoping. At Gamescom at least it looked harder than the past IW games, but at least feasible compared to BO, which was a disaster for the sniper class.
Disagree the snipers in BO worked fine if used as they were meant to be used.
