Yeh I was giving this dude the benefit of the doubt. Obviously now he has no real proof. Him "watching" pro gaming notwithstanding.
afaik all clans are platinum at the moment , haven't heard of anyone that isn't in a platinum clan at all
I probably should have mentioned I play on PC where you'll encounter a hacker in almost every other game. Call me butthurt or whatever, I know the level I play at and with my experience in gaming I know a cheat when I see one and what stats are genuine or not.
But let's put all opinions aside. In a situation where a clan are cheating to win a clan war and top the division, how is this going to be dealt with. Clearly people aren't going to believe other clans in the same division as you clearly don't believe me so what is the solution?
They are going to cheat and win, cheat and win, cheat and win and other clans have to put up with this.
Look, these guys cheat and whether you believe me or not is irrelevant. I'm not asking for your opinion nor do I want it. All I wanted to know was how are we supposed to deal with clans that cheat to win clan wars and soak in the rewards?
Justbetter has given me the best reply so far, I just hope there's an alternative to twitter.
there is only 2 options for you to report cheaters, the ingame way by clicking on their name in lobby and filing report there, or send a tweet to @IWenforcers or @candylexia i think they are the 2 they told us to report to, but from my experience both do nothing and the leaderboards are still full of hacked stats. Some people might tell you to report their steam profiles but this wont do anything either as VAC is automated so individual reports dont do anything. they are your only options, fact.
If that's the case then it would seem cheating clans or at least clans with cheaters in them will likely win every clan war. No nice new camos or uniforms for us legit players. Pointless us playing.
You have zero proof that this clan cheated in any way. Zero. Let me say it again. Zero. Granted their kds are rather high and that unto itself is odd but that does not constitute proof in any way. I'd be curious to know what their w/l is. A low w/l with a high kd typically indicates players that play objective gamemodes for easy kills and don't play the objective. 9/10 times that's what you will find when a player has a 5+ kd. However, if their w/l is high then more than likely they play in a group regularly and that makes winning and having a high kd pretty reasonable. That's not to say that they definitely haven't cheated but without seeing them do so in game you don't have a case to argue against their numbers. Now if they all were rocking 30 kds then I think that we all could rightfully assume that they are cheating but 5 to 7 while high isn't necessarily a slam dunk. If you truly believe that they are cheating all that you can do is report them. But I would imagine (just a guess here) that the reporting system would tie game data to the report for review (if not it really should) and not having actually played against them that data wouldn't exist in your report.
I wish Ghosts had Theater mode so we could watch anyone's game replay for the last 30 days. That was really useful in many ways. Too bad Infinity Ward didn't implement this kind of replay system.
