Seems to be following the same trend on xbox. Its not just the hacks, it's overall just a bad game.
On 360 a ton of players that got this game at release are gone- as of yesterday only 2 of us (30) still even have the game, and I am the only one that still plays it more than once a week. However a lot of these players are being replaced by new players.
On 360 I saw a pretty steady 200-250k around release- now it ranges from 60k to 225k on weekends.
Xbox One had 40k on Sunday afternoon and right now has 9k (tues am).
I'm pretty sure that's single player. I play fairly often when there are low number of players (during close to midnight), and there are approx 2500 players. Usually it's 10k players in the 2-4pm EST.
Wrong chart, you posted Single Player; here's Multiplayer - Call of Duty: Ghosts - Multiplayer - Steam Charts
I've made that mistake before, but no doubt the numbers are way down. It's a combo of hackers and quite frankly the game itself isn't interesting (long list of gripes). Simply from the system requirements alone, Ghosts lost almost half its player base day one, compare to BO2 Multiplayer - Call of Duty: Black Ops II - Multiplayer - Steam Charts
BO2 (start) 63,831
Ghosts (start) 36,922 (43% less day one)
Wow... it only took 13days for the number of players to drop from 14000 to around 2000....
That's.... just sad..... Congrats IW you've kicked your own ass.
