This is logically incomprehensible for me. I don't understand what could cause these drops about 2 weeks ago if the "locked 60 fps" suggestion is the clue - on the same hardware, the same COD version, only both updated about 2 weeks ago
I don't get what is so hard "incomprehensible" about it. Some people have major issues with the game while other don't. Sometimes a patch here and there screws it up for someone else and sometimes it fixes it for others. The game goes above 60fps which at that point PS4 tries to stop it since it is locked at 60fps and it causes shudders and broken frames/incomplete frames. Nothing is to hard about that to understand. IW needs to patch the game to stop it from going above the 60fps and it would stop for people.
I hate to be that guy, but heres something to think about. So called Frame rate is perceivable by the human eye up 300FPS, but negligible to the user experience past 30FPS...all pre-existing consoles were set for 30 FPS and nobody probably knew the difference...
If you did not see the same glitchy issue in the single player game, it has nothing to do with the hardware, you are running at home (to include your network connection).
If you notice the issue, try joining a room/game with a small number of players (12 or less)...do the same problems occur?
What I have noticed is the symptoms of overloaded servers, possibly poor software coding that automatically populates rooms with players from various network connections. If you have players from the same town, the game will scream, no matter how big the map or number of participants. If you add just one single player from another region of the world or a poor network connection, it will drag down users in the room with it. You will notice the map shutters or jitters because your position information in the game map is delayed. Watching the kill cam will, you can have a good indication of this if you emptied a full mag in someone and they still got the drop on you. Watch to see if they took any hits.
Games like Battlefield 4 give the user the ability to filter open rooms to join by region, and select rooms by connectivity to the server. If you have full bars, expect a fair game. If you half half bars, expect lag to interfere with your KD's.
I wouldn't waste the time trying to delete the game, and download again, as some have already experienced, it won't fix the back end server problems. Unfortunately, you can create a great game with awesome graphics, but if you forget to design the supporting back end, you just have a really awesome piece of crap.
The more users that are finally getting around to buying the game and playing online, the worse it will get, until they beef up the back end, or change how the rooms get populated.
Just an observation I thought I'd pass along
This has nothing to do with connection. I Tried different gamelobbies yesterday and they all fellt good by hitregistration but the framerate was just awfull.
Definitely something that has to be fixed.
yeah. i got the frame rate issue in both multiplayer and singer player as well even after the 1.7gb patch. the fps just drop randomly in multiplayer mode..
I even started a new thread here regarding to the fps issue..
Hi guys, This is a problem that I came across. My Tv was maxed out at 75hz, I refered to is as The Judder. and I was beginning to think I was going insane because no one else could see it. In the end I connected my PS4 to my PC monitor which can handle way more hz. Now I have crisp movement.
So at the moment the only solution I can recommend to anyone is to connect your ps4 to a decent pc monitor.
But it was seriously offputting. makes you feel like you have lag.
I bought a top of the line BenQ Gaming Monitor and I have the issue. It is not the TV or Monitor that's the problem. Sorry.
Just a thought,
Do you guys with issues have gaming monitors? If so, maybe it needs a firmware update? My BenQ I found out today needs a firmware update. Im going to update mine today or tomorrow and ill let you know if things improve.
Let me know what you guys think.
