Found this idea interesting. Game Mode is Called Blitz, and is a new mode in Ghosts.
Basic premise is each team has a circle, or base area near their spawn point called a Portal, similar to CTF but without the Flag. (The Bases Move as well, not sure if within the match or match to match).
The point of the game is to get as many players into the other team's base as possible during the game. Team that does this the most wins. When a player gets into the base, they are teleported back into their own base.
The catch is there is a delay after each point. So you can't just run two players in at once. One player goes, then the next player has to hold the area before Capping it themselves.
Points Capped at 16 points in the mode played at the reveal and GamesCom, switch sides after 5 minutes.
Actually sounds pretty fun. Thoughts?

In related news: Apparently, Domination is just going back to how it always has been in IW games. No advancement in the scoreboard, no new rules. I know the BO2 format wasn't really embraced, but I would have liked to have seen some innovative change rather than the same old same old.
The Blitz gamemode looks a big campy. I want to see this in a competition environment.
Domination is better as 1 round, in my opinion.
Blitz looks like a fun game mode.
In terms of Domination going back to one round, I'm fine with that. Round based Domination encouraged the opposing team to make a comeback in the second round but didn't really work considering the losing team would use the round break to quit out.
And Maccabi did mention that IW did add objective stats in the in-match leaderboard as he was present at the reveal event. I didn't see it for myself at first but after I rewatched a couple of gameplays there was a "C" (captures).
Blitz doesn't look very good, real campy, no spawn timers at least, but doesn't look like something I would play. That new map they showed off at Gamescom, Chasm, doesn't look very good either, reminds me a lot of Downturn. And DOM, well, I never play dom, so really don't care what they do with it, it will always be a mode for killfarmers and streaks. Very little skill is needed in DOM.
Its good to see a lot of new game modes added in this game as everything was getting stale, the new game modes are certainly the best feature ive seen added to ghost, even search & rescue looks good and im not a fan of SnD.
Im glad to see domination back to normal i hated round based it just seemed to mess with all the momentum but i can see arguments as to why round based is more fair.
Blitz game mode i can imagine will be a bit campy why move when people will constantly run at me will be most people's thoughts i can imagine but if it was played how it should be with both teams trying to score then it would be a really good game mode but i don't think it will happen that way.
Halo: Reach had a mode similar to this. But in reach you had to grab flags and take them back to your own base and then wait for the time to expire to cap them. A player could kill another player take his flag he gathered and take it back to his own base. So you had players fighting over multiple flags and not just one.
With this sort of mode Blitz you better hope there is NO TI in the game or it is not allowed in that game mode. Would make it too easy to blitz the base even if you died.
It's sort of mix from war, dom and ctf.
Have to see how it work out. I see it happend that 4 members will guard the base and 2 will attack. Will become a slow game.
Or 3 will defend while 3 attack. Either way still a slower game. Only time it would not be is if the entire enemy team rushed the base. But that leaves their base open for a easy cap for the 2-3 attacking on the other team too.
either way is is not really going to be that fast paced of a game.
It should have about the same pace/rhythm of CTF, don't you think? Not frenetic by any means, but should benefit from basic strategy.
