Create-a-Class Changes Reported EDITED WITH MORE INFO

World War II General Discussion

Had a thought earlier...

What if the base perks were available to all, but Pro Perks were Division Specific and had to be unlocked via Divisions.

For example base Ghost/Camouflage Perk is available to all, but using Airborne (just at random) you can earn the Pro Version. So base would protect while moving, Pro would protect at all times.

What if...

Airborne: SMGs and stealth equipment + UAV jammer perk

Mountain: Bolt action rifles and awareness equipment + Marksman perk

Infantry: Self-loading rifles and regular equipment + Extreme condition perk

Armored: LMGs and protective/AT equipment + Flak jacket perk

Expeditionary: Shotguns and chemical equipment + Tactical mask perk

Leaving perks and streaks universal stuff between divisions. Edit: What if each division has a power perk only for them.

Having perks tied to a division is exactly what I don't want to see. Based on Michael Condry's comments, I don't think divisions will work that way.

At least I hope so.

When I think about possible weapon variants in the game, how about that divisions gets specific variants: Airborne paratrooper variants, Infantry standard versions, Armored vehicle crew versions etc. with own unique characteristics in stats and visual appearance.

FYI... these are what the classes MAY be...

  • - Airborne: First to the fight, where you move fast and stay quiet
  • - Mountain: Focusing on precise and deadly sharpshooting
  • - Infantry: Be the tip of the spear
  • - Armored: Bringing the heaviest firepower
  • - Expeditionary Force: Packing heat with incendiary shells

Hopefully we will be able to select which division we want to play as. I can't imagine a scenario, other than each division needing to be unlocked via leveling up, where we would be forced to use any single division.

This could be good for balancing issues, though.

The first 4 divisions I get but the last one.

Incendiary shells. Maybe more than that. Explosives maybe.

The first 4 are all useable and I see using them.

Roll the dice. Life is a gamble

I am excited and this is coming from gamer who enjoy Battlefield because class based combat is fun. Little class structure is for good, I think. Add nice authentic character customization for these branches and I am in for this game.

Airborne sounds mine division. Can't wait to hear more about this (major) change.

I've seen a few youtubers running early damage control about this end of create a class.

Sorry but this divisions thing smells like classes, character kits, and limited options based on which division you are currently using.

Get ready for the good will this game had to evaporate, in before the Call of Battlefield World at Warfare II rants hit high gear.

I wouldn't be shocked if Infinite Warfare, Black Ops 3, MWR, Advanced Warfare and even Ghosts see a population surge if this CoD WWII multiplayer announcement turns into a major fiasco.
