(not a reply to you dtuchpunk, just wanted to be at the end )
At the end of that boring drawn out video with them cutting the IIII, anyone else notice the specialists from BO3? One of the very few things I liked about WW2 was that they got rid of them silly specialists/rigs...or was that BO3 gameplay? Either way, I hope they leave them out..not really a make or break for me, but I'm not a huge fan of freebie kills..rather just have death streaks back lol...
I'm slightly excited for it...always liked the BOs series...great maps making for not so boring replayability, and 'mostly' balanced gameplay kept me at them games for most of their cycle (except BO3, but I traveled a lot that year)...just have to hope online experience is good (mm, connections, balance, etc..) that will ultimately be my deciding factor no matter how awesome the game is...
Wonder why the ~3 week early release...maybe to put this, still broken game, WW2 in the past as soon as possible lol...
I'd imagine since they are boldly going for an earlier release they should have everything in working order by launch...but then again it's sorta been the norm to have stuff 'coming soon' lately...I think they fully know what they want in the game though, unlike how I always had the feeling IW was a bit rushed and had changes done prior to launch, and I felt WW2 had major last minute changes, like how they wanted to do variants..I honestly think they initially intended them to be stat altering, and not cosmetic only..that may have taken away resources prior to finishing touches, and why a lot felt the game was unfinished at launch (just my 2 cents fwiw)
Earlier probably to be in front of other A games.
As long they don't go to crazy with sci fi it might by oke.
Before the 3 advance movements cod they where pushing it.
The swarm for example.
The BO4 release is a bit peculiar. It's going to impact the playability of WW2 unless SHGs releases their dlc4 early as well.
I'll put my $5 in to get the beta access, it can be moved to Bf if I decide not to buy. I don't put much into the BO4 name as BO3 had little relation to BO2. If it's a good game it will stand on its own. BO3 had one of my favorite campaigns of any game so it will likely be worth $60 before mp for me if the same design team is doing the campaign again.
On the mp front, I hope they might learn some lessons that seem to be redone every year. They start TDM at 75 then move it to 100 later. The snipers start way op (the BO3 beta being the extreme) then take months to get balanced. The primary method of balancing is to nerf, nerf, nerf instead of buff when it will help get the balance right so that each gun has advantages in different situations. If something needed to be changed the last 3 times after release, maybe start there this time instead?
Biggest concern is. How much sci fi.
And if we finally will get a spear gun
