Want to know pain?

Not sure how this happened, but I woke up last Thursday with a maatted up left eye. Didn't think too much of it and took my contacts out. By Sunday, I was blind. Went to the eye Dr on Monday, was told to come back the following morning, where the original Drs wife discovered I still had half of a contact in my left eye.

Now, a week later, I can finally see, but hurt like hell. (Go ahead language filter; edit that out- it still hurt like hel.)

So, ive been doing eye drops around the clock for a week, and it's. Been downgraded to an 8mm abrasive ulcer, and I've been given a 65 percent chance of fully recovering my vision.

How's everyone else been, lol?

Ugh, that sounds incredibly painful, confusing, and stressful. Even just the fact that at one point you must have felt like you were going blind, but thankfully that wasn't the case and they were able to clear it up. Hope that 65% pans out and you get full vision back. I'm still very curious, even though you said you didn't know why, about how that happened in the first place.

Sorry I missed this when you posted it, Sean. I'm more than happy to clarify how this all went down, or how I believe it all transpired.

A couple of weeks ago, my left eye was severely irritated, so I removed my contacts and threw my glasses on. For two weeks, I used that eye wash that you squirt into a little goggle, then press it against your eye and let the wash "wash" whatever is in the eye. Honestly, I was convinced it was just allergies, so I didn't think much of it until I put my contacts back in, two weeks later, and had a throbbing headache that I can only describe as a migraine on steroids. So, I called my eye Dr on Monday or Tuesday, and they got me in right away. This is where my normally chill self lost all chill and was ready to choke my Dr out. On Monday, I saw the make Dr, well call him Dr Guy. Dr Guy sat up an appointment for me to see his wife, in the same office, and well call her Dr Girl .Well, Dr Girl comes in, puts the stain in my eye to see any infection more easily, and as she's looking in my eye she asks, "did you know you still have a contact in that eye?" So, obviously her husband, Dr Guy, managed to miss something that should have been impossible to miss. That was the only moment throughout all of this that stressed me out, because I honestly felt like I could have choked him had he been in the office.

Now, I'm taking drops every hour, around the clock, including the hours where I would normally be sleeping. Hopefully everything was caught in time, and I continue to heal. I also just wanted to say "thanks" for taking an interest in my non-CoD post. To show my gratitude, I'll treat you to a couple of pictures that shows how beautiful my eye looksSmiley Happy This pic actually makes the eye look 100% better than it did two days ago.IMG_20180623_024916.jpgThat white crap on the bottom isn't mucus or mucosal drainage. It's the medications reacting to my tears which cause that white, pasty garbage.

Thanks, brother. Indeed, Dr Guy is a complete embarrasement to his profession, and had I been able to see him, I just may have given him a knuckle sandwich for breakfast, but I didn't want to risk breaking my hand on top of everything else. I easily could have swing at him and put my fist through the wall, that's how blind I was. (Actually, I'm hyper chilled and wouldnt have thought to hit him, nor am I a litigious person for anything. However, the specialist that I was referred to told me this progression or infection 100% was avoidable had the eye Dr done his job.)

@iHattoriHanzo0 Lol, I can't see sh#t right in front of me, let alone in my future...

You're right though, I do have glasses and am horribly undisciplined about making sure I change them and take them out as directed.

Thank you for the kind words my friend. All of the support here from you all means a lot more than youll ever know, and I immensely appreciate it. Wanna know the really, really stupid way I tried passing time? I bought a new set of nibs, foolishly failijg to consider how bad my head would hurt (Honest to God! I still have the practice slip of me writing my name in copperplate and misspelling it)
