if you google that error most people say its a graphics driver issue: grab latest catalyst drivers 10.9

          http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/aiwhd_xp.aspx?type=2.4.1&pr oduct=2.4.1.3.43&lang=us&rev=10.9&ostype=Windows XP - Professional/Home

this direct download might work: https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/9206/0/www2.ati.com/drivers/10-10_xp32_dd.exe

          after install, run dxdiag:

start > run > type DXDIAG press enter

let it run the scan, it will tell you the version of DX you are running, and on each of the tabs along the top show you info on display / sound etc. check each tab and check for any errors , which will be in the bottom half of the window.

          report back!

yeh , log it officially here:

tell them you ran dxdiag, you can export the dxdiag results details into a txt file, and attach the file to the support call.

they will look at all the drivers you have got installed from the dxdiag file and advise you.
