Would you like to see Akimbo weapons in Black Ops II? In Black Ops, my friends and I used to mess around with them in Search and Destroy and they were decent in the right hands, but weren't good enough to use anywhere eles. How should they be in Black Ops 2? I don't mind them in MW3, but the FMG9 easily defeats everything.
I think a special scenario of twin handguns is ok, I'm unsure about machine pistols, definitely not shotguns. It's largely unrealistic that akimbo set-ups give an advantage in combat, but seeing as in core modes soldiers are more like juggernaut bullet sponges than their real life counterparts, I see why akimbo has been attempted.
I'd allow it for handguns in some kind of special perk, equipment/loadout situation. Ultimately it should increase ammo (by firing with one hand then the other) but dual firing more and more rapidly should rapidly reduce accuracy more and more.
I think Black Ops got it perfect with an assortment of pistols and 20-round sub-machine guns and machine pistols. If machine pistols become secondaries again, then I'm going to say nay, but from the rumours gallavanting around the grape-vine at the moment regarding the new point allocation create-a-class system, it's tricky to say.
Yes. Provided the akimbo weapons are of reasonable size.
Akimbo pistols, absolutely.
Akimbo machine pistols (provided they make an appearance): Only specific machine pistols. Skorpions would work, FMG9s and PP2000's would not.
Akimbo shotguns? I'm a shotgun FANATIC, and I don't approve of akimbo shotguns. Arcade shooter or not, they are far too unrealistic.
