    Yet another sniping/quick scoping discussion

      First up, I want all of you to know that I'm pretty much against quick scoping. Why? because there is a reason sniper rifles are called 'sniper rifles' and not a 'one-hit-kill-one-man-army-rifle'. They hould be long range rifles and dominate long ranged fighting.

       

      So, my idea is this: reduce the ADS time to about 0.6 seconds, reduce the weapons as the time you are scoped-in gets by, and when a sniper hits you and gets a hitmarker and not kill you in one shot, your movement speed should be reduced, not much, but a sagnificent amount (a decrease of about 10%-15%). And if you do want to quick scope, i have 2 suggestions:

       

      1) Acog snipers should have the ADS time reduced to 0.45 and Iron-sights snipers should have their aim time reduced to 0.40 seconds. And believe me, I want iron-sight snipers. It is the most fun  you can have playing CoD, and it is most satisfaying. Just think, if they would bring back the Specialist srtike package, to be able to become the Specialist super sodlier with an iron sight sniper rifle, it sounds ******* amazing.

       

      2) Make a sniper playlist in which snipers are only allowed and maybe the ADS time is reduced for them.

       

      Another thing about sniping, DO NOT make a sniper like the barret 50.cal that can shoot at 1200 RPM. Not only this is not realistic (and I KNOW that CoD isn't suppose to be such a realistic game) but it is so annoying and irreasonable to shoot with a 50.cal sniper rifle that kills you with one shot at 1200 RPM and make it like a shotgun.

       

      P.S, semi-auto WEAK snipers like the SVU-AS from BO2 or the Dragonuv from MW3 can ADS quicker than the heavy 50.cal high-damage snipers, and they should be suited for a bit more medium-long range sniping, but can also fit long range fighting.

          Quickscoping is getting beyond a joke, soon everyone who plays the game will get sick of the non-stop barrage of one hit kills and the only people left playing this game will be snipers and 'sniper clans'. Ghosts is being developed by IW so I'm not expecting the sniper rifles to be balanced in any way also I expect QSing to be easier then ever.

          So you hate QSing yet you want to make it more difficult to escape quickscopers if they get a hitmarker on you?

          Agreed. Look at drop zone from MW3. That gamemode was infested with quickscopers and it kept a lot of QSers out of regular gamemodes.I like your idea of the ADS time being reduced because it will give QSers an incentive to play in that playlist rather then the regular playlists.

          Personally I think all semi-auto sniper rifles should go. I said before in another discussion that a sniper rifle should be a weapon of precision not spam the trigger and hope something hits. Bolt action of GTFO.

              QS is an exploit of the ADS centering and aim assist... but it's not going away.

               

              I wish it would... adds zero value to the game.

                Quickscopeing is BS. Sniper rifles should not be able to crush every other weapon class in close. I suggest a game type just for scopers to keep them from annoying players using normal guns.

                  Buy the new Xbox One or Playstation 4, that will definitely get rid of many of them.

                    Have a Sniper Playlist that gives you a rank like league play. Ranking needs to be harder to achieve. Sniper rank should be individual, not team. I think that gamemodes should be FFA, oddball (hold an object for as long as you can), and new sniper only team based gamemodes. Also i think their should be specific maps that should be included into the sniper playlist.

                      Stop acting like snipers are so OP. If they were OP everyone would be using them but not a lot of people do. You know why? Because to "crush" every other weapon with a sniper you actually have to be good at using a sniper, and that means practicing hours upon hours with a sniper and perfecting your sniping skills. Sadly skill and practice does not go hand in hand with Call of Duty which is why 90% of people choose to stick with easy mode no skill SMG's and AR's.
