    Re: Can't start CoD:Ghosts

    ghosterrorist

I have the same issue, I bought the game almost 5 months ago, I had no problem with the game at all, the game works great on my laptop

All of a sudden, I can't launch the game anymore!

I noticed that this started after the recent update that included the Invasion DLC

But before the update, I had no problem with the game at all

The game launch normally, I can play multiplayer with no problems, finished singleplayer with no issue what so ever, and I have a playtime over 400 hours

Suddenly I can't launch the game anymore?

      What the heck?

I'm playing on PC and Steam has the 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache' option, I've run that tons of times but did not fix it

Reinstalled the whole game but it still wont launch

      How do I fix this?

      Help please

      -sorry for my bad english

Heyahh! You might have missed something, buddy. Try reacquiring your games exe file. How? Her you go:

          • Delete the Multiplayer exe file(iw6mp64_ship.exe)

          • Run 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache' then it will be reqcuired

          • Reboot the PC and try again

Tell us what happens after. Peace!

              Does this actually work bro?

I'm not questioning your method or anything

It's just that, I'm afraid it'll mess up my game cause I did reinstall the whole game but reinstalling doesn't work

So I'm wondering does this method actually works?

I hope it does, maybe I'll give it a try

              Thanks for your feedback

What exactly happens whenever you try to launch the game? Were there any error messages? Also, can you paste your dxdiag info here.

Everytime I launch the game, as usual Steam popup will say - Preparing to Launch Call of Duty: Ghosts Multiplayer

And it does load up, but it only loads up to a black screen

It just froze on a black screen

And when I open task manager by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ESC, Call of Duty: Ghosts status' is Not Responding.

                  This also happens on singleplayer

                  So what do I do?

                  Here's my dxdiag:
